In November 2022, The Walking Dead concluded its run, leaving fans intrigued about the future of the franchise. The final episode ended on a hopeful note, with the Commonwealth experiencing a period of peace. Fans were pleasantly surprised to catch a glimpse of the previously departed characters, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira).

Executive producer Angela Kang commended the source material for its ability to conclude The Walking Dead on a positive note. In an interview with Variety, she highlighted Robert Kirkman's vision of the comic, which brings closure to one chapter while also opening another. Kang emphasized that the story is an ongoing journey, depicting events unfolding in the background and acknowledging that not everything can be resolved. 'The Walking Dead'

'Fear the Walking Dead'

The initial derivative of The Walking Dead transported viewers back to the genesis of the apocalypse. The spinoff initially titled Isle of the Dead underwent a name change and is now referred to as The Walking Dead: Dead City. According to the show's synopsis, the deteriorating city is inhabited by both the deceased and inhabitants who have transformed New York City into a realm of chaos, peril, allure, and horror.

The Walking Dead: Dead City premiered on AMC in June 2023 and was renewed one month later.

'The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon'

AMC declared in 2020 their intention to create a spinoff centered around Daryl (Reddus) and Carol from The Walking Dead. However, later that same year, the network confirmed that McBride would not be involved in the series.

Concerning this surprising departure, an AMC representative stated, "Melissa McBride has breathed life into one of the most captivating, authentic, relatable, and beloved characters in The Walking Dead Universe. Unfortunately, due to logistical challenges, relocating to Europe has become unfeasible for Melissa at this moment."

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon was renewed two months before its September 2023 premiere.

'The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne'

AMC has recently transformed its plans from a film series to a six-episode series, delving into Rick's adventures.

The untitled show will center around the extraordinary romantic tale of two individuals profoundly affected by a transformed world.

The upcoming spinoff is set to go into production this year and debut in 2024.
