Pokemon with Unique Evolution Methods
Dedicated followers of the Pokemon franchise are well aware that not all Pokemon evolve through leveling up. Some species demand trading, while others possess distinct evolution conditions. Unsurprisingly, this characteristic is also replicated in Pokemon GO, where Pokemon do not simply "level up," but may necessitate a special maneuver alongside accumulating the appropriate amount of Pokemon Candy.
Some Pokemon in Pokemon GO simply require a certain distance to be walked as a Buddy in order to evolve, but this is not always the case. Evolution methods can have unusual requirements, and some can be more time-consuming than others. By knowing and checking which Pokemon have special evolutions, trainers can avoid being surprised or unprepared.
Every Pokemon that Evolves During Certain Weather or Time
Certain Pokemon like Tyrunt and Amaura have specific time requirements for evolution. Regardless of the players' Candy count, the "Evolve" button will only function if it is the correct time of day. In Pokemon GO, the time periods are defined as daytime and nighttime. Nighttime occurs between 20:00 and 7:59 Local.

Every Pokemon that Evolves with Buddy Tasks
Underneath the Evolve button on the summary page of certain Pokemon, there will be a tab available. Simply tap on the dropdown arrow to see the Evolution/Buddy Task and track its progress. In most cases, these Pokemon require being set as the Buddy Pokemon. To do this, tap on the trainer icon located in the lower-left corner of the screen. From there, choose the option to either Select a Buddy or Swap Buddies. It is possible to change the Buddy Pokemon up to 20 times per day.
It is not necessary for the Pokemon to be outside of the Poke Ball or visible on the map in order to complete the task. Just ensure that it is designated as the Buddy Pokemon before beginning work on the Buddy Tasks.

Every Pokemon with a Unique Evolution Method
Pokemon with Distinct Evolutions are not required to be designated as a Buddy, but they do possess Evolution Tasks. In the case of a Pokemon like Tyrogue, a preview of its future evolution will be displayed alongside the Evolve button. Conversely, other Pokemon may present question marks, providing few or no hints on their evolutionary path.

Tyrogue | Hitmonlee | 25 Tyrogue Candy | |

Trainers can easily check their Pokemon's Individual Values (IVs) by tapping the icon located in the bottom-right corner of Tyrogue's summary screen. By selecting the "Appraisal" option, trainers can identify which specific stats have the highest IVs. Additionally, if players have not yet registered Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, or Hitmontop in their Pokedex, a silhouette of one of these Pokemon will appear near the "Evolve" button. If trainers desire Hitmontop but notice that their Tyrogue's best IV is in its Attack stat, it is advised to refrain from evolving it and save the Candies for the next Tyrogue. Pokemon GO is available on mobile devices.
