The Sims 4 is renowned for its lively and often comical life simulation gameplay, filled with numerous mysteries and distinctive elements. While there are downloadable content (DLC) options that introduce supernatural entities, the base game itself includes some exceptional characters. One such unique feature is the presence of PlantSims.
PlantSims, an occult aspect in The Sims 4, only emerge under specific circumstances. Although initially introduced as a limited-time event, players can still experience the enjoyment of encountering PlantSims. To obtain further details about the PlantSim life stage, refer to this comprehensive guide.
What are PlantSims in the Sims 4
PlantSims have been a part of The Sims franchise since The Sims 2 and have made a delightful comeback in The Sims 4. Unlike other supernatural beings, PlantSims cannot be custom-created and can only be encountered during gameplay. PlantSims are a temporary transformation that Sims can undergo for a period of five days.
PlantSims boast vibrant green skin and hair, but otherwise retain the appearance of regular Sims. Once a Sim assumes this form, they will develop unique needs, such as a heightened requirement for water and specific sustenance needs.
The bladder function of PlantSims will be replaced by water. Players are required to either submerge their PlantSims or have them drink water. Additionally, to fulfill their hunger need, PlantSims must either be exposed to direct sunlight for photosynthesis or absorb solar energy from plants. When their social need declines, PlantSims also have the ability to communicate with plants. After a span of five days, PlantSims will wither and revert back to being normal Sims.
How to Turn Into a PlantSim
Becoming a PlantSim in The Sims 4 can be achieved through two different methods. The first and most straightforward approach is by engaging in the Plant-A-Sim scenario, which offers unique gameplay and rewards. Scenarios provide Sims with story-based situations where they complete tasks and participate in goaled events to progress through a specific context.
To begin Plant-A-Sim, access the main menu and click on New Scenario. From the list of challenges, select Plant-A-Sim. Upon starting, Sims will find themselves equipped with multiple Forbidden Fruits of the PlantSim in their inventory. Upon consumption of one of these fruits, the Sims will undergo a transformation, becoming PlantSims.
To become a PlantSim, there is another method called growing the Forbidden Fruit of the PlantSim. This special fruit can only be cultivated using Magic Beans, which are found in Rare Plant Seed packets. To obtain these packets, Sims must first reach Gardening level 10. A total of six beans are required to grow the Forbidden Fruit tree. Once all the beans are collected, they can be planted in the Magic PlantSim Stump, which is located in the Build/Buy mode.
The Sims 4 is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
