Mementos Request Dates, Rewards, and MoreTips For Mementos Requests
In Persona 5 Royal, leveling up in the game isn't limited to exploring Palaces. After the first arc, the Phantom Thieves are given the task of completing requests from the public. While these requests are not mandatory for the main story, they are essential for completing most of Joker's Confidants. As the Phantom Thieves gain more reputation, Mementos, a key location in the game, also expands. It is recommended for players to regularly visit Mementos on Joker's off-days.
To access Persona 5 Royal's sidequests, players cannot simply select them from the Phan-Site. Instead, these quests will automatically be "accepted" once Joker acquires the culprit's name. However, a significant portion of the requests are sent by Mishima. Other requests become available when Joker's Confidant rank reaches 7 or 8. Overall, there are more than 20 Mementos Requests in Persona 5, and below is a comprehensive list of all the requests and how to obtain them.
This guide unveils spoilers about the true ending of Persona 5 Royal. Updated on July 21, 2023 by Ritwik Mitra: Mementos continues the tradition of Persona games featuring randomly generated dungeons. Fortunately, the main Palaces in Persona 5 are meticulously crafted, a significant improvement compared to the previous two titles with their randomized layouts that lacked engagement. Additionally, this collective palace introduces the formidable Reaper, requiring players to have party members at a high level before attempting to face this adversary.
Mementos also serves as the location for various requests that players must tackle, including mandatory ones to maximize the game's numerous Confidants. These requests add excitement to the otherwise mundane dungeon exploration, culminating in a miniboss battle where players must emerge victorious in order to change a person's perspective and guide them towards enlightenment.
Mementos Request Dates, Rewards, and More
Mementos becomes accessible on 5/7, after Kamoshida's confession at Shujin. The initial Mementos Request is integrated into the storyline, while others can be obtained from Mishima or Joker's friends/Confidants. To obtain all Mementos Requests in Persona 5 Royal, players must consistently increase their Moon/Mishima's Confidant rank.
It is important to note that players can sometimes receive Requests in blocked off sections of Mementos, so checking the Difficulty is recommended. Additionally, certain Requests require Joker to gather information outside of the Metaverse on his own. These Requests are indicated by a "?" instead of "ID'd!" in the Requests menu. Unidentified targets will not appear in Mementos, so players should carefully review the hints provided in Mishima's IMs.
Mementos Requests in P5R are distributed to Joker during his mind-bending escapades. However, if Joker neglects spending time with Confidants, he may overlook some of these requests. Provided below is a comprehensive compilation of the Requests along with the necessary instructions on acquiring and fulfilling them:

Confidants who reach Rank [no.] will require Joker to attain a certain Rank before they can be spoken to again. However, this interaction will not result in a Rank Up for the Confidant. Instead, Joker will receive the name of the Mementos Target. For instance, if players raise Shinya's Confidant to Rank 8, they can speak with him the following day to obtain the name of the target (Rank 8.5), and then proceed to Mementos to steal the target's heart. After successfully completing this task, spending time with Shinya again will advance his Rank to 9.
Tips For Mementos Requests
Before venturing into Mementos, it is crucial for players to check out the "View Requests" section in the Phantom Thief hideout. Here, the fellow Thieves frequently alert Joker if there are any pending targets that require discussion. In the event that Joker hasn't pinpointed the target yet, players can refer to Mishima's messages for insights on the preferred haunts of the target individual. By heading to those locations, and if Joker happens to be in the right place, Morgana will then offer another helpful clue.
In order to access a target in an unavailable part of Mementos, players must first steal the heart of a Palace Ruler and then return to Mementos after the culprit's confession.
Certain Mementos Requests in Persona 5 Royal require Joker to convince the target to stop their wrongful actions. An example of this is the "If Cats Disappeared from the City" Request. In this case, players need to reduce the target's HP or defeat them. Rather than engaging in a Shadow Negotiation, players must carefully choose their responses. If successful, the battle will conclude. However, failure will result in the target returning to fight again.
Persona 5 Royal is available now on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 5.
