Determined to clear John B and Sarah's names, JJ goes to great lengths before embarking on the quest for the Cross of Santo Domingo. The character of JJ is skillfully portrayed by Rudy Pankow, who previously took on the role of Brocklehurst in Acting for a Cause, as well as a younger version of Sam in the film adaptation of the videogame Uncharted.
Madison Bailey portrays Kiara "Kie" Carrera, John B's closest companion in the series. Bailey is best recognized for her roles as Kelley in episode three of American Horror Stories and Wendy Hernandez on Black Lightning. Despite being born into wealth, Kie identifies more with the Pogues and remains a devoted friend to the boys. However, her parents strongly disapprove of her association with the Pogues and even threaten to permanently separate her from them. Jontavious Johnson portrays Stubbs, one of Terrance's employees and a coworker of Cleo's on the barge in the Outer Banks cast. He is part of the team, along with John B and Sarah, working to retrieve the gold from the Camerons' Bahamas home. Johnson previously played young Moose in an episode of Amazon's Modern Love and has made appearances in multiple episodes of The Big Door Prize.
Cullen Moss takes on the role of Shoupe in Outer Banks season 1. After Sheriff Peterkin's death, Shoupe has been promoted from Kildare Deputy to interim Sheriff. He must balance his investigation of John B with figuring out how to handle Ward and Rafe. Moss has played Judge Smith in The Underground Railroad and also appeared as a detective in the series Your Honor.
