Blasphemous 2 might be slightly less challenging than its predecessor, but it still poses obstacles to players. With formidable enemies and conquerable bosses, players must understand the art of healing and preserving their game progress. Nothing is more disheartening than dedicating hours to a video game, only to lose all your hard work due to a glitch or lack of knowledge on saving techniques. This guide serves as a tutorial for Blasphemous 2 players on healing and saving strategies.

Blasphemous 2: How to Save and Heal

To save progress in Blasphemous 2, players cannot manually save the game through the pause menu. Instead, they must find and interact with a specific object scattered throughout the Metroidvania map known as a Prie Dieu altar. Resting at one of these altars not only heals players' health and flasks, but also automatically saves their progress whenever they kneel before the Prie Dieu.

Upon a player's demise in Blasphemous 2, they shall be transported back to the most recently visited Prie Dieu; however, any advancements achieved subsequent to their visit shall be forfeited. It is imperative for players to frequently pay a visit to these locations in order to safeguard their esteemed game progression.

To utilize the Prie Dieu, simply approach it and press the up button on the d-pad. Upon seeing the scroll icon at the bottom-right-hand corner of the screen, players will know that their game has been successfully saved.

It is important to note that in Blasphemous 2, when players die, a Guilt Fragment will attach itself to the world, resulting in an increase in Guilt level. This decrease in Fervour earned and defense, is offset by an increase in Tears of Atonement and Martyrdom Points gained. Players are advised to gather these fragments in order to restore their Guilt back to normal. For those who may be unfamiliar, Fervour refers to the blue magic bar located under players' health bar, which is utilized for executing special attacks.
