In Starfield, players have the opportunity to explore numerous planets and moons, including planet Earth. Initially, Earth may not appear to hold much of interest due to previous events that occurred centuries before the main story of Starfield begins. However, there are still a few notable landmarks from Earth that remain intact in the year 2330, one of which is The Shard located in London.
Reaching an impressive height of 310 meters, The Shard not only stands as the tallest building in London, but it also holds the distinction of being the tallest in all of western Europe. This iconic architectural marvel graces the city's skyline, visible from miles away, although it has suffered some deterioration by the year 2330. Starfield players have the opportunity to explore the remnants of this structure, but there are a few prerequisites they must fulfill beforehand.
How to Visit the Shard in Starfield (London Landmark)
Before players can experience The Shard in Starfield, they must first complete the London Landmark activity. This can be achieved by acquiring a copy of Oliver Twist. In Starfield, there are various locations where players can find books, including Oliver Twist. However, there is no need to rely on chance or luck to obtain it. Players should head to Sinclair's Books in Akila City, located in the Cheyenne star system to the east of Alpha Centauri. The bookstore is situated on the left side of the city just after Chunks, in close proximity to the Sanctum Universum building.
By having a conversation with Ahnjong Sinclair, individuals will have an opportunity to browse the inventory of the store and discover that Oliver Twist is available for purchase under the Notes tab. While visiting, they may also consider acquiring a copy of The Ancient Civilization of Egypt, as it is required to unlock the Cairo Landmark in Starfield. Once the book is purchased, a new activity will become accessible and the London Landmark landing point will be displayed on the Earth map.
Moving forward, all that's required is a straightforward journey to the SOL star system to access the map of Earth. From there, players can promptly make their way to the illustrious city of London, where they will encounter the remnants of The Shard. Not only will they have the opportunity to witness this iconic structure, but they will also stumble upon a London snow globe placed upon a nearby rock at the building's base. This particular snow globe is just one of several scattered throughout Starfield and will prove essential for those seeking to attain the Globe Trotter achievement. Starfield is currently available for both PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
