Stranger Things has had a turbulent history in Dead by Daylight. Originally introduced to The Fog in 2019, the license was later revoked, much to the disappointment of its devoted fan base. Fortunately, the franchise has returned to the realm of The Entity, allowing players to once again embody the formidable interdimensional demon known as The Demogorgon, who terrorizes the Upside Down.
The Demogorgon is a Killer that is relatively easy to learn but challenging to master. Therefore, it is crucial to understand which synergistic perks complement this iconic Stranger Things monster. This guide aims to enlighten players about a couple of effective builds that align well with The Demogorgon's "Of the Abyss" power in Dead by Daylight. It also includes a build featuring non-teachable perks exclusively for newer players to the game.
The Demogorgon: Best Non-Teachable Build (2023)
The Demogorgon has some powerful base perks that have been improved since they became general perks after Stranger Things left. While Surge can be useful, it doesn't work with Special Attacks like The Demogorgon's Shred. Mindbreaker and Cruel Limits are much more effective in slowing down Survivors and cutting off their resources. Additionally, Bitter Murmur and Hex: No One Escapes Death work well together for locating Survivors and eliminating them in the Endgame.
Mindbreaker (The Demogorgon) - Any Survivor working on a generator will be affected by the Blindness and Exhausted status ailments. These effects will last for 5 seconds after they stop repairing.
Cruel Limits (The Demogorgon) - Upon completion of a generator, all vault locations will be inaccessible for a duration of 30 seconds.
Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) - Once the final generator is finished, all Survivors will be afflicted with the Exposed status, while the user benefits from a 4% increase in speed until the Hex Totem is purged.
Bitter Murmur (General Perk) - Reveals the auras of Survivors within a 16-meter radius of a completed generator for 5 seconds. Once the last generator is completed, reveals the auras of all Survivors for 10 seconds.
The Demogorgon: Best Build (2023)
To enhance The Demogorgon's limited abilities, such as Shred and Portals, this Killer requires effective strategies for keeping pressure on Survivors. This build utilizes three highly effective perks for slowing down progress in Dead by Daylight: Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance. Together, these perks significantly impede generator repairs. Additionally, Coup de Grace grants The Demogorgon increased lethality in narrow loops, enabling successful attacks in otherwise challenging areas.
Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – Upon the trial's commencement, the three generators located farthest from the Killer's initial position are obstructed for a duration of 120 seconds or until the first Survivor is incapacitated.
Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown) – Following the act of hooking a Survivor, interacting with a generator within the succeeding 45 seconds will diminish its current progress by 30%.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) - The Killer begins the trial with four tokens. When a different Survivor is hooked on a white Scourge Hook, one token is subtracted and the generator with the highest progress explodes, losing 25% of its progress.
Coup de Grace (The Twins) - This perk gains two tokens for each generator completed. One token can be used to increase the distance of a lunge attack by 80%.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled to see the return of The Demogorgon to Dead by Daylight. The Stranger Things monster is one of the most iconic Killers in the game, and I am excited to unleash its terror on the Survivors once again.
The builds outlined in this guide are a great starting point for players looking to master The Demogorgon. The first build focuses on slowing down Survivors and cutting off their resources, while the second build emphasizes keeping pressure on Survivors and increasing The Demogorgon's lethality. I am confident that these builds will help players dominate the realm of The Entity and secure their victory as The Demogorgon.
