Crafting the Basic Rake
In the world of Enshrouded, landscaping is an art, and having the right tools is crucial for shaping your base. One such indispensable tool is the Rake, which simplifies the process of smoothing rough terrain and perfecting your base's landscape. Here's how to craft the basic Rake and unlock its potential in the game.
Crafting recipe for the basic rake in Enshrouded
The crafting recipe for a basic Rake becomes available early on, once you reach Level 2 and unlock the Blacksmith. To create it, you'll need to craft a Workbench and gather Wood Logs, Stone, and Strings. Once you have these materials, interact with your Workbench to reveal the Rake recipe under the Survival category, alongside other essential tools like the Glider, Grappling Hook, and Storage options.
Players have reported an issue where the basic Rake recipe is inaccessible in private worlds. To resolve this, follow these steps:
1. Open the Journal.
2. Select the Workshops tab.
3. Choose the Workbench option.
4. Scroll down to find the Rake recipe and pin it.
By pinning the recipe, you can ensure that the Rake appears on all of your Workbenches. If the issue persists, consider joining a public world to check for the Rake recipe there. If it's still unavailable, try a different server to access the recipe.
Upgrading Your Rake
Once you've obtained the basic Rake, you can enhance its capabilities by unlocking additional crafting recipes for the Blacksmith. Crafting a Forge will enable you to upgrade your basic Rake to a Scrappy Rake, which boasts a higher maximum durability due to its construction using Metal Scraps. As you progress, more advanced Rakes will become available through the Blacksmith, offering improved features and benefits.
Mastering Rake Techniques
Using a Rake in Enshrouded opens up a world of possibilities for shaping and refining the terrain within your base's influence. Equipping the Rake in your hotbar, you can easily adjust the landscape by pointing it at the ground. A visible ring indicates the area that will be affected, and on-screen controls allow you to modify the Rake's angle of effect.
Rakes are ideal for filling gaps between the ground and your buildings, eliminating the need for manual terrain block placement with the Construction Hammer. Additionally, you can extend dirt and stone roads effortlessly using the Rake. Simply aim at the road you want to extend, hold the designated button, and walk in the desired direction. This action consumes stamina and item durability but requires no additional resources.
Keep in mind that the elevation of the terrain depends on the location of the targeting ring, not your character's position. For optimal results, aim the Rake at your feet to ensure that the ground is leveled at your current elevation.
