Engaging in invasions is a fundamental mechanic in Lords of the Fallen, where players can enter and disrupt other players' realms. This can be accomplished effortlessly without the need for any specific gear.
Triumphing over other lampbearers in their own domains will grant players a distinctive item, which can be utilized at the shrine in Lords of the Fallen. Additionally, players have the option to thwart invasions and the Crimson Ritual by purchasing a particular item from select merchants within the game.
How To Invade Other Players In Lords Of The Fallen
To invade other lampbearers in Lords of the Fallen, players must initially unlock a Vestige checkpoint. The first Vestige can be found in the tutorial area called The Abandoned Redcopse, located before facing the Holy Bulwark Otto boss. Once players rest at the Vestige, numerous options will be displayed, including Multiplayer. Select this option and scroll down to find the Slaughter lampbearer choice, which will initiate the matchmaking process. A countdown will commence, and players will be transported into the world of the host.
It can be concluded that lampbearers are only able to invade others who are at the same level or lower. Individuals with higher levels than the invader will not be considered as an option. The same principle applies to the area. If it is an undiscovered area, the matchmaking process will not occur, but the invader will be taken to an already explored area.
Once players successfully infiltrate and triumph over another lampbearer, they will receive Severed Hands as a reward. This unique item functions akin to the Plucked Eyeball once vengeance is exacted upon another lampbearer.
Where To Use The Severed Hands In Lords Of The Fallen
In order to ward off invasion, players have the option to utilize the Mirror of Protection. This powerful tool offers a safeguard against the Crimson Ritual, effectively preventing any unwanted invasions for a designated period of time. The Mirror can conveniently be obtained from various merchants scattered throughout the realm of Lords of the Fallen, including reputable figures such as Exacter Dunmire, Stomund Captain of the Fidelis, Molhu, and Thehk-Ihir.
You can contribute the Severed Hands as a donation to the Shrine of Adyr, located close to the Vestige of Betrayed Eliard in Fitzroy's Gorge. Approach the throne with a glowing red aura and interact with it to access the shop.
The shop is shared between all lampbearers as each one can donate Severed Hands to unlock more tiers, thus unlocking more items. The available items are:
