There are numerous reasons why players might desire to change the aspirations for their Sims. For instance, when players introduce a spouse and child for their Sim to care for, the Sim may struggle to advance in their career. This is a commonly encountered issue in the game. If gamers wish for a Sim to prioritize their family, they have the option to modify the aspirations of the respective Sim.
To modify the aspirations for a Sim, locate the aspiration panel situated on the bottom right side of the screen. Click on that panel and find a green star positioned on the top right. By clicking on this star, players will be directed to a menu offering various aspirations.
Players can choose any aspiration from a list and confirm their selection by clicking on the "tick" mark at the bottom. It is essential to ensure that the chosen aspirations have achievable goals for the Sim. It is worth noting that players will receive a bonus trait corresponding to the aspiration they initially selected in Create-A-Sim mode. For instance, if a player initially chose the bodybuilder aspiration but later changed it to creativity, they will still receive the bonus trait for the bodybuilder. However, players will earn reward traits for every aspiration they successfully complete.
Changing Aspirations in CAS Mode
Alternatively, players have the option to modify their Sims' aspirations in CAS mode. To do so, begin by enabling cheats by pressing Ctrl+Shift+C. Once the cheat box appears, enter "testingcheats true". With cheats enabled, input "cas.fulleditmode" and hit enter. Then, hold down the "Shift" key and select the desired Sim. This action will navigate players to the CAS menu, where they can replace a Sim's existing aspirations with new ones.
The Sims 4 is currently accessible on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
