In the past iterations of Sims games, various methods like indulging in special foods, consuming potions, and applying serums were at players' disposal to reverse the aging process of Sims. However, in The Sims 4, the sole option to age down Sims is through the application of cheats.
CAS Cheat
Reversing the aging process of Sims and making them younger doesn't come with a specific cheat. Instead, players need to utilize an alternative method to achieve the desired age reduction. To initiate this process, simply open the cheat console by holding Ctrl+Shift+C on Windows or Command+Shift+C on Mac.
To make their Sims younger, players should open the Create-a-Sim menu and edit their age. To do this, they must access the cheat bar and enter 'cas.fulleditmode.' This cheat code grants access to the full CAS menu.
Within the menu, players have the freedom to adjust their Sims' age as desired. Once the changes are made, it is crucial to save them. Afterward, players can return to their game. It is worth noting that the same cheat can be used again if players wish to make their Sims older in the future.
How to Age Down Sims Without Cheats
In The Sims 4, Sims naturally age as the game progresses. However, players who wish to prevent their Sims from aging without using cheats can do so by accessing the Game Options menu and selecting the 'Gameplay' option. From there, they should click on the 'Auto Age (Played Sims)' option and choose 'No'. Disabling the auto age feature will halt the aging process for Sims, allowing them to remain in their current life stage indefinitely. It is important to note that this action does not revert a Sim back to a previous life stage. The Sims 4 is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
