Arakocra

Aasimar

Larian Studios is unlikely to include the Arakocra in Baldur's Gate 3, although there is a possibility that they will surprise the fan base. These winged beings, known as birdfolk, originate from the Elemental Plane of Air and gracefully soar through the skies during their journeys. With their majestic appearance, they would make a splendid addition to the character creator. However, it is important to note that their presence may not align well with the gameplay of Baldur's Gate 3. Perhaps their recent appearance in Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will sway Larian to consider their inclusion.

In the previous Baldur's Gate games, the Aasimar have made appearances, but players have never had the opportunity to personalize their own. These celestial beings possess divine energy within them and often spread luminosity throughout the world. Though they don't always exhibit benevolent traits, they share a connection with celestial entities and hold remarkable untapped abilities. There is a possibility that they will make an appearance in Baldur's Gate 3 in the future, and hopefully, that day will arrive soon.

Bugbear

Players will encounter numerous bugbears during their Baldur's Gate 3 journey, yet they are unable to assume the role of one. Despite these formidable creatures serving as prominent adversaries, it would be intriguing if players could eventually become one themselves. As the brawny counterparts to goblins and hobgoblins, bugbears possess exceptional skills in stealth and evasion. Given their prevalence throughout Baldur's Gate 3, it would be an exciting prospect to have bugbears as a customizable race. However, for this concept to work, Larian Studios would need to devise a plausible reason for why this particular breed of bugbear is more amicable than its counterparts.

Firbolg

The Firbolg, the awe-inspiring nature-based beings, have unfortunately been excluded from the excitement of Baldur's Gate 3, despite the immense significance of Druids and the Emerald Grove. Descendants of giants, these remarkable creatures possess the mystical essence of ancient woodlands. Their distinct appearance sets them apart from all other races in the game, making them an extraordinary addition to the diverse lineup. Although it is reasonable to prioritize the introduction of other races, the inclusion of Firbolgs should undoubtedly occur at a later stage.

Goblin

Goblins play a significant role in Baldur's Gate 3, yet they are excluded from the character creator. Despite their prevalence in the game world and Dungeons and Dragons, goblins are one of the few iconic fantasy races that cannot be customized. Similar to bugbears, players should have the option to play as a goblin character who is not aligned with the villainous goblins encountered in the game. Adding goblins to the roster would be an excellent addition and could serve as the perfect complement to the gnomes.

Baldur's Gate 3 is currently available on PC, and will be released for PS5 on September 6, followed by an Xbox launch.
