Highlights
Dead by Daylight remains one of the most popular multiplayer games, with a variety of original and crossover characters to choose from.
Fans have expressed their desire to see Pennywise, Jason Vorhees, Jack Torrance, and Predator make an appearance as potential crossover characters in the game. Moreover, the inclusion of Homelander from The Boys has the potential to enhance Dead by Daylight's crossovers, introducing fresh abilities and gameplay dynamics.
Although there have been many similar games in recent years, none have withstood the test of time quite like the original. Even now, seven years after its initial release, Dead by Daylight remains one of the most popular online multiplayer games. This asymmetrical horror game pits one Killer against a team of four Survivors, offering a wide selection of characters from both original creations and popular horror IPs.
While some of Dead by Daylight's original Killers, such as The Nurse or The Blight, are exceptionally powerful and enjoyable to play, the game's most popular Killers often come from other franchises. Dead by Daylight features iconic horror movie characters like Freddy Krueger and the Xenomorph, as well as crossovers with other well-known horror video games like Resident Evil. With an already impressive roster, there is always room for more crossover characters in Dead by Daylight.
Pennywise is Still Dead by Daylight's Most Requested Crossover Killer
Jason Vorhees Would Just Make Sense for Dead by Daylight
Pennywise the Clown from It is the most frequently requested crossover character for Dead by Daylight. As an interdimensional being that feeds on fear, Pennywise is a perfect addition to the game. Currently, there is already a spooky clown character in the roster, but the two would not have much in common. Over the past few years, fans have been eagerly suggesting ideas on how Pennywise would fit into Dead by Daylight. Some of these ideas include allowing him to disguise himself as another Killer at the beginning of the game to catch players off-guard and the ability to fill a fear meter, similar to Michael Myers' Stalk mode.
As Friday the 13th: The Game prepares to conclude its server operations by the end of the year, now is the perfect moment for the infamous slasher character Jason Vorhees to make an appearance in Dead by Daylight. Although it may require additional effort from Behaviour Interactive to ensure Jason stands out in the game, he would be an exceptional addition to the lineup, representing one of the last remaining classic horror icons yet to join the roster.
Dead by Daylight Could Make Great Use of Jack Torrance
One of the more unexpected choices on this list, Jack Torrance from The Shining could make for an incredibly distinct Killer in Dead by Daylight. With his trusty axe in hand, Jack Torrance could possess a range of unique abilities, such as a frenzy meter that gradually builds up throughout the game, granting him increased speed and power. In addition, he could have the capacity to communicate directly with The Entity, enabling him to track down the Survivors. Without a doubt, Jack Torrance's character would be incomplete without the eerie setting of the Overlook Hotel, making it a fitting and chilling addition to the Dead by Daylight map.
Predator Coming to Dead by Daylight Is Only a Matter of Time
Following Dead by Daylight's recent crossover with Ridley Scott's Alien, it is no surprise that the formidable Predator is not too far behind. When it comes to abilities, the Predator in Dead by Daylight presents an exciting array of possibilities. This extraterrestrial hunter possesses the extraordinary capability of wielding multiple weapons simultaneously, such as his iconic Combi-Stick, Smart Disc, Shoulder Cannon, and wrist blade. Additionally, the Predator is equipped with infrared vision, enabling him to peer through environmental objects and structures.
Dead by Daylight Could Branch Out With Homelander
Currently, The Boys is collaborating with several video games, and it would be great if they extended their crossover to include Dead by Daylight. Despite not aligning with the game's horror concept right away, Homelander from The Boys is undeniably a frightening character. It would be intriguing to witness Dead by Daylight explore different crossover possibilities. In terms of abilities, Homelander could bring his flight skills and laser vision to the game.
Dead by Daylight is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
