Jujutsu Kaisen's Satoru Gojo vs Chainsaw Man's Makima Death Battle may have overlooked a crucial detail
Satoru Gojo showcases his exceptional prowess in Jujutsu Kaisen as he unleashes his powerful ability called Unlimited Void. Employing this formidable technique, he tactfully overcomes Makima in a gripping death battle. To further ensure her defeat, he skillfully harnesses his Hollow Technique: Purple, successfully obliterating Makima from existence.
Makima, as depicted in Chainsaw Man (Image via MAPPA), was unable to exert control over Gojo since she may not have regarded him as inferior. Nonetheless, the video clearly demonstrates Makima's ability to harm Gojo by employing her "finger guns".
While some fans of Jujutsu Kaisen argued that Makima shouldn't have been able to hit Gojo, the video explanation suggests that Gojo's Infinity wouldn't detect the invisible force. As a result, Makima from Chainsaw Man should have easily defeated Gojo by shooting him in the head. However, the video showed her attempting to take control of Gojo instead.
Even if we disregard this detail, there is still a legitimate doubt about whether Gojo could have defeated Makima using his Hollow Technique: Purple. In the finale of Chainsaw Man manga, Denji killed Makima multiple times. The only way he could truly eliminate her was by devouring her, an action driven by love in Denji's mind rather than aggression.

As observed in the altercation, Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen launched a lethal assault on Makima. Consequently, certain audience members anticipated her revival subsequent to her injuries being mitigated by an ordinary Japanese citizen. However, it is important to note that the Chainsaw Man manga does not explicitly state whether Makima can only be resurrected if there are remaining body parts for regeneration.
The manga has never mentioned that Makima regenerates. It is just the context that paints her ability in such a way.

Hence, there is no conclusive evidence to support the claim that Gojo's act of disintegrating Makima's body would have resulted in her demise. As elucidated in the video, it is plausible that Gojo's attack inadvertently endangered the lives of all Japanese citizens.
However, this theory presents two significant flaws. Firstly, it is highly unlikely that Gojo would willingly make such a sacrifice. Secondly, being a Japanese citizen himself, he would have inevitably faced consequences for his actions. Regrettably, the Death Battle video overlooked these pertinent issues and declared Gojo as the victor. Understandably, fans online express their disappointment with this outcome.
