The Talos Principle 2 delivers a familiar experience as its predecessor, providing players with challenging puzzles and thought-provoking philosophical questions. After a set of introductory puzzles that either refresh or introduce players to the core mechanics of the original game, they will awaken in the city of New Jerusalem before being transported to a mysterious island.
However, players won't have much time to admire the island's beautiful scenery, as they will soon encounter a puzzle with a new gameplay mechanic. Named RGB Shifting, this introduces the RGB Converter to the franchise, which brings a fresh twist to the familiar Connector tool.
How to Solve RGB Shifting (Grasslands Ring Puzzle 1)
In order to solve the puzzle, players must utilize the RGB Converter to unlock the entrances to the two Hexahedrons (boxes). They must also open the gate leading to the red pressure plates and subsequently place the Hexahedrons onto the plates to access the ultimate Energy Gate.
By combining the colors blue and green, a red color is obtained.
Red + Green = Blue
Blue + Red = Green
Start by activating the red Light Receiver's Energy Gate. Then, grab the RGB Converter and choose the blue and green Light Generators. This will cause the Converter to emit a red light, indicating that players can now activate the red Light Receiver, which will unlock the Energy Gate. Enter the gate, grab the Hexahedron, and temporarily move it outside the gate, ensuring it doesn't obstruct any laser paths.
To acquire the second Hexahedron, players must repeat the same process as before, but this time, they must unlock a gate with a blue Light Receiver. To turn the RGB Converter blue, players should pick it up while disconnecting any existing connections, and then choose the red and green Light Generators. This will change the color of the Converter to blue, granting access to the next gate and allowing players to retrieve the Hexahedron.
To successfully unlock the gate, players must utilize the green Light Reciever. This can be achieved by equipping the RGB Converter and selecting both the red and blue Light Receivers. Combining these colors will produce green. By activating the green Light Generator, placing the two Hexahedrons on the designated red pressure plates, players will gain access to the Progress Wheel, successfully completing the puzzle.
The highly anticipated sequel, The Talos Principle 2, was officially launched on November 2nd, 2023. This captivating game can be enjoyed on various platforms including PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
