Caelynn Miller-Keyes bucked tradition and walked herself down the wedding aisle on her way to marry Dean Unglert.

Miller-Keyes, 28, described their ceremony as intimate and simple. She shared her decision in an Instagram Story on Thursday, September 28, stating that their officiant, Dean, Dean's brother, and their dog Al walked down before her. It seemed natural for them to walk alone, and Miller-Keyes explained that she didn't put much thought into it on their wedding day. It just felt right.

Miller-Keyes and Unglert, aged 32, recently tied the knot in Meredith, Colorado, changing their last names to Bell as a tribute to his late mother. The intimate ceremony took place on September 23, with 75 attendees including close family and friends from Bachelor Nation, such as Ben Higgins, Becca Tilley, Wells Adams, and Ashley Iaconetti.

In his bride's social media video, Unglert expressed that both he and Miller-Keyes are strong, independent individuals who did not feel the need for anyone to accompany them down the aisle.

Unglert even engaged in a conversation with the wedding officiant to challenge and disrupt the prevailing gender norms often witnessed at weddings.

“To me, the notion of symbolically transferring this woman to marry this man felt outdated,” he humorously remarked, a sentiment endorsed by Miller-Keyes.

Upon reaching the altar of their camp-themed wedding, they were overwhelmed with emotion at the sight of each other in their attire.

"We wanted that precious moment, when we laid eyes on each other while walking down the aisle, to be authentic," she shared on a subsequent Instagram Story slide on Thursday, explaining their decision to forgo "first look" photos before the ceremony. "I understand that many people opt for it and enjoy it, but this choice felt right for us. I couldn't help but burst into tears instantly."

During the celebration, both Miller-Keyes and Unglert exchanged heartfelt vows that were personally tailored.

"I can't recall the exact words, I was so overwhelmed with nerves," Unglert playfully admitted while driving the newlyweds home from their intimate honeymoon. "All I remember is a sense of tranquility and an overwhelming feeling of love."
