The beloved 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' cast reunites joyfully after almost 20 years since the release of their first movie in 2005 An exciting reunion showcasing the enduring bond of sisterhood

The cast of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, including Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn, had a heartwarming reunion on Friday, December 15, showing that their bond is as strong as ever. Fans remain hopeful for a third film featuring the close-knit quartet.

"I just witnessed the reunion of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants women tonight, and had a conversation with Blake Lively about how lazy Santa is," shared Josh Horowitz, host of the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast. "Now I'm grabbing some tacos from a food truck."

He quickly posted a photo of the four women, adding "The SISTERHOOD cannot be stopped."

Lively, (Bridget), Bledel (Lena), Ferrera (Carmen) and Tamblyn (Tibby) have remained close for almost twenty years. The initial Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants film debuted in 2005, and a sequel was released in 2008.

"We take great pride in our friendship, and if we had the opportunity, we would make movies together for the rest of our lives," Tamblyn, 40, shared with We in March 2018, expressing her enthusiasm for reuniting with her fellow actresses.

Although there is no official confirmation of a third movie, the actresses of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants are all in agreement that they would like to reunite on screen. "I think it could really happen," said Lively in 2018. "I think that people who love the movie want to see it. So, I mean, fans have gotten bigger movies made."

In the same year, Bledel, 42, also mentioned that the women have "pitched a third movie," expressing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that it would be "wonderful" if they were able to work together again. Tamblyn explained that it's been difficult to coordinate everyone's schedules.

“Between the four of us, we have a total of 870 children, so you know, it’s really challenging,” she quipped during her appearance on SiriusXM’s Pop Culture Spotlight in October 2022. (She has one child with husband David Cross. Lively has four kids with husband Ryan Reynolds. Ferrera and husband Ryan Piers Williams have two kids. Bledel has one son with ex-husband Vincent Kartheiser.)

Despite their busy schedules, Tamblyn said they’re definitely down to do something in the future.

She added that it is a great hope for all four of them to work together again. "To me, it feels like the ultimate perk where I'm like, 'Wait a minute, we're gonna get paid to hang out when we do that in real life anyway? Cool. I'm in.'"
