Drawing inspiration from the New Yorker article, "The Family That Built an Empire of Pain," and the book, Pain Killer: An Empire of Deceit and the Origin of America’s Opioid Epidemic, this highly anticipated series delves into the roots of the crisis, with a specific focus on Purdue Pharma, the creator of OxyContin, and the Sackler family. The cast of Painkiller boasts talented actors such as Uzo Aduba, Matthew Broderick, Sam Anderson, Taylor Kitsch, and many more.
