Kylie Jenner, the reality star, has recently opened up about the difficulties associated with choosing names for your children, acknowledging the possibility of making mistakes in this process.
In February 2018, Jenner became a mother for the first time when she welcomed her daughter Stormi with her on and off boyfriend, Travis Scott. Reflecting upon her past decision to keep her pregnancy confidential, Jenner shared her thoughts.
"My pregnancy was a personal journey that I deliberately kept private from the public," she wrote in the caption of a YouTube video posted during the same month. "I recognized the importance of preparing for this significant role in the most positive, stress-free, and healthy manner possible. Pregnancy has been a profound and transformative experience, and I will genuinely miss it."
Three months later, the founder of Kylie Skin shared insights into her process for selecting a name for her baby. "We're not entirely sure how we came up with Storm," she revealed in an interview with the Evening Standard in May 2018. "Her dad claims credit, but I believe it was me. The name just resonated with us. However, I didn't think Storm was the perfect fit; it didn't feel like her name. So, we settled on Stormi, and it felt right. The name has stuck with us since then."
She expressed that there were possibly other names she preferred, but she believed that the name Stormi was the one that truly resonated with her daughter, as if it was a name that she chose for herself.
The duo, who began their relationship in 2017, joyfully welcomed their second child in February of 2022. Soon after their son's birth, Jenner revealed that she had decided to change his name, as they didn't feel that it truly suited him. Jenner took to Instagram Story to explain, stating, "We simply didn't feel like it suited his personality. I wanted to share this because I keep seeing the name Wolf everywhere."
The California native discussed the confusion surrounding season 2 of The Kardashians, explaining that they had trouble deciding on a name for their child. They had hoped that the name would come to them when they saw the baby, but that didn't happen. With just 24 hours left before they had to sign the birth certificate, they felt the pressure to choose a name. Khloé Kardashian suggested Wolf, and the California native liked the idea. So, in that moment, they decided on Wolf Webster and signed the birth certificate. However, right after doing so, they had a moment of doubt and questioned their decision.
Jenner faced unexpected challenges when welcoming a new child into her family. "After giving birth, it was mentally difficult to regain my sense of self. We place a lot of pressure on ourselves to bounce back quickly, but I need to be kinder to myself," she shared with the cameras. "With my second child, I felt more prepared and anticipatory of what was to come since I had experienced it before. This time around, I was more present."
In January 2023, Kylie announced that she had changed her child's name to Aire Webster.

During the season 3 finale of The Kardashians, Jenner advised the audience to choose a name for their child before being overwhelmed by hormonal changes. Reflecting on her experience, Jenner revealed that she underestimated the challenges of postpartum. She confessed to never referring to her son as "Wolf" until it became legally binding.
