According to Seven Seas Entertainment, the authorized English publisher of the original light novel series, the plot unfolds with Sei, a 20-year-old office worker, unexpectedly finding herself transported to a completely different realm. Regrettably for Sei, the intended purpose of the summoning ritual, which was to bring forth a solitary "Saint" capable of eliminating the malevolent forces of dark magic, resulted in the arrival of two individuals instead of just one.
