The official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle of The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 revealed the main trailer on Sunday, December 10, 2023, confirming the show's release date, theme songs, and more. The anime is scheduled to debut on January 6, 2024.
Based on the manga series by Norio Sakurai, The Dangers in My Heart anime has published nine volumes. The upcoming season will pick up from where Season 1 left off and delve into Anna and Kyotaro's ever-evolving relationship.

Earlier, the official staff for The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 released the final trailer, revealing that the show will premiere on January 6, 2024. The promotional video also showcased the theme songs, broadcast details, and more.
The rom-com anime is set to debut on January 6, 2024, on TV Asahi's NUMAnimation timeslot at 25:30 (effectively January 7, 2024). It will also be airing on BS Asahi starting from January 13, 2024, and on CS TV Asahi Channel 1 beginning January 21, 2024. Additionally, Prime Video will be the exclusive streaming platform for the episodes.

The most recent preview video showcases the anime's opening song, Boku Wa..., performed by the musical group Atarayo, as well as the ending theme, Koishiteru Jibun Sura Aiserunda, sung by the YouTuber Kohana Lam.
Notably, the trailer introduces new characters set to appear in The Dangers in My Heart Season 2, and delves into Anna Yamada and Kyotaro Ichikawa's evolving emotions for each other. As seen in the trailer, the upcoming season will continue the storyline from Season 1 and reveal a different aspect of the main characters.

In addition to the release date and theme songs, the official staff has confirmed the anime adaptation of Twi-Yaba, a spin-off manga by Norio Sakurai. The anime will showcase a series of short events in a single 21-minute episode.
The Twi-Yaba anime will be exclusively available for streaming on Prime Video on December 10, 2023, at 10 pm JST. It will also have an international release on HiDive, Peppermint Anime, Aniplus, and Aniplus Asia, although the release date for these platforms is still to be announced.

Season 2 of The Dangers in My Heart sees the return of the original cast and staff from Season 1, with Hiroaki Akagi directing the anime at Shin-Ei Animation and Jukki Hanada composing the series. Masato Katsumata is back to design the characters, while Kensuke Ushio is responsible for composing the music. Shun Horie reprises his role as Kyotaro Ichikawa, with Hina Youmiya taking on the lead female role as Anna Yamada. Nobuhiko Okamoto stars as Sho Adachi, and Yuka Iguchi lends her voice to Kanna Ando.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the English version of the manga and it summarizes the story as follows:
"Ichikawa Kyotaro, a boy struggling at the bottom of his school's social hierarchy, believes in secret that he is the tormented main character in a psychological thriller."
The story continues with him spending his days coming up with plans to disrupt his classmates' peaceful lives and yearning for Anna Yamada, the class idol. However, Kyotaro is not as much of a troublemaker as he pretends to be, and it soon becomes apparent that Anna is a bit peculiar herself.
