How many seasons of Invincible are there and in development? Based on Robert Kirkman's comic series, the show originally planned as a movie but became a hit series, with a big-screen adaptation still in the works.
Mark Grayson, a 17-year-old high schooler, starts his journey into becoming a superhero with the guidance of his father, Omni-Man, Earth's most powerful being. Struggling to fulfill his superhero duties while managing his everyday responsibilities and dealing with his complicated relationship with his father, Mark's true origins are revealed as he tries to become the hero he aspires to be.
Now, two-and-a-half years later, Season 2 of Invincible has arrived, bringing with it another intense and gripping chapter. Fans are left wondering just how many more seasons of Invincible they can anticipate.
How many seasons of Invincible are there?
There are two seasons of Invincible. However, Robert Kirkman believes there could be as many as 7/8 seasons.
Amid the near-immediate success of the series, Amazon announced it had already green-lit Invincible Seasons 2 and 3 before the first season’s finale.
I'm incredibly grateful to Amazon for their support and dedication to Invincible. The comic book is a true homage to a genre that Cory [Walker] and I adored during our upbringing, and it has been extremely rewarding to witness our characters come to life once more through the animated series. We are thrilled to be able to continue this story for at least two additional seasons," Kirkman stated in a previous release.
Although Season 3 is already well into development, Kirkman aims to reduce the release time between seasons after the extended wait for the second season. This signals that Invincible will not be concluding anytime soon.
During an interview with Polygon, Kirkman was questioned about the number of seasons needed to tell the full story of the comic, which consists of 144 issues spread across 25 volumes. Kirkman mentioned, "I’m trying not to pin it down to a number, because it is somewhat of a moving target. I think in the seven-to-eight season range seems like it would be enough." He suggested that this timeframe could result in the series running as long as Game of Thrones.
Season 2 of Invincible is now available for streaming on Prime Video. You can sign up for it here. Catch the first three episodes and stay tuned for more exciting content to come!

As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled about the number of seasons of Invincible that are currently available and the potential for even more in the future. The show has been a huge hit with its intense and gripping storyline, and I can't wait to see what's next for Mark Grayson and the rest of the characters.
The fact that Robert Kirkman is aiming to reduce the release time between seasons is also great news, as it means we won't have to wait as long for new episodes. Overall, I'm very excited about the future of Invincible and can't wait to see what the next seasons have in store.
