The New iMac Boasts an Ultra-Fast M3 Chip

In the latest hardware event, Apple has just launched a refreshed version of the iMac. Alongside this release, they also unveiled the new M3 chips and the MacBook Pro computers, both powered by these cutting-edge chips. At first glance, the new iMacs may not appear visually different. This is because Apple has chosen not to make any external changes to the computers. This should not be seen as a drawback, as the current iMac design is still exceptional. With its slim form factor, it functions as an all-in-one desktop computer that is even thinner than most PC monitors, cleverly concealing all ports at the back of the machine.

However, the internals have undergone a significant change. The M1 chip has been replaced with the all-new M3 chip, marking a substantial upgrade from M1 to M3. As a result, the performance has seen a remarkable boost - Apple claims that the M3 chip is up to twice as fast as its predecessor, with the GPU offering enhanced speed and supporting advanced features like hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing. Notably, there is no option available for an iMac equipped with an M3 Pro or M3 Mac.
Few mainstream games are currently available on macOS, but the improved hardware of the iMac will be beneficial for tasks such as video and photo editing, web browsing, software development, and other activities. Additionally, users can utilize virtualization software like Parallels Desktop and VMWare Fusion to run certain Windows software on the iMac.
Starting at $1,299, the iMac with an 8-core GPU can be upgraded to a 10-core GPU for a price of $1,499. This upgraded version is offered in the same vibrant selection of seven colors as the original M1-based model. If you were a fan of those colors, you now have the opportunity to enjoy them on a significantly faster iMac. Pre-orders are currently available, and the product is expected to be delivered by November 7th.
