11 Christina Is Being Threatened For Her Supreme Court Post
In The Morning Show season 3, episode 7, an important storyline unfolded regarding the reversal of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court. Following Christina's controversial "abort the court" Instagram post in the previous episode, she faced the consequences in episode 8. As the episode began, an individual waiting outside the UBA building threw liquid resembling blood on her and labeled her a "baby killer."
This demonstration, coupled with further threats jeopardizing her safety, resulted in UBA limiting Christina's coverage of the decision and reproductive rights. Furthermore, UBA assigned a bodyguard to protect her. Chris attempted to challenge both decisions, but ultimately, she found herself torn between her professional obligations as someone with a platform and her personal beliefs.
10 The Picture Of Paul & Alex Is Leaked
Another fallout resulting from Season 3, Episode 7 of The Morning Show was the publication of an incriminating picture of Paul and Alex kissing in bed by The Vault. This revelation occurred prior to Paul's interview on Alex, Unfiltered, and Cory saw an opportunity to boost ratings by capitalizing on it. As a result, Alex and Cory found themselves in opposition once again. Alex refused to issue a statement and instead insisted on proceeding with the interview, as she wanted to avoid diverting attention from the "real" news concerning the Supreme Court decision. Regrettably for Alex, the leaked picture had already caused irreparable damage, regardless of her intentions or desire to address it.
9 Stella & Bradley Want To Help Kate Expose Hyperion
In The Morning Show season 3, Stella's character arc has been one of the most intriguing. This was especially evident when her past relationship with Paul was uncovered. In episode 7, Stella engaged in a heated argument with Kate regarding Hyperion and Paul. Realizing her mistake, she attempted to make amends in episode 8. Frustrated by her inability to communicate with Kate, Stella turned to Bradley for help. She implored Bradley to find out what information Kate possessed about Hyperion that may potentially expose Paul Marks.
8 Mia Finds Out That Andre Returned Home Without Telling Her
While initially hesitant due to her tragic history with Hannah, Bradley ultimately agreed to offer her assistance. However, despite initially establishing contact with Kate, the former Hyperion employee failed to show up for their planned meeting. Nevertheless, it is highly improbable that this signifies the conclusion of Kate's storyline on The Morning Show, leaving Paul with valid reasons to fear what lies ahead.8 Mia Finds Out That Andre Returned Home Without Telling Her
Throughout Season 3 of The Morning Show, Mia dedicated numerous episodes to investigating whether Andre was still alive. In a moment of revelation, she finally discovered the truth when she witnessed him being interviewed on Your Day, America during Episode 8. Experiencing a mix of frustration and relief, Mia confronted Andre in a highly explosive and public argument. Andre held Mia responsible for his presence in Ukraine, while Mia retaliated by labeling him as a "middle-aged adrenaline junkie" who preferred hopping between conflicts rather than settling down in one place. This altercation deviated greatly from their previous interactions in the present timeline and echoed the intensity of their past conflicts showcased in the flashback episode.
7 Alex’s New Interview Backfires
As a result of the leaked picture of Paul and Alex together, Alex faced difficulty in securing a compelling interview subject to discuss the Supreme Court Decision on her show, Alex Unfiltered. Despite the show's popularity, many of the individuals she sought to interview chose to speak with Laura on YDA instead, much to Alex's frustration in episode 8 of The Morning Show's third season. Alex's need for a successful interview was particularly crucial, not only due to the topic at hand but also to prove to Cory that she had made the correct decision in postponing her interview with Paul and refraining from making a public statement.
After encountering several unsuccessful attempts, Alex managed to secure an interview with the fictional character Jess Bennett for Alex Unfiltered. Jess, known for accurately predicting the overturn of Roe v. Wade on her website, engaged in a discussion with Alex about the Supreme Court and the existence of minority rule. During this conversation, Jess confronted Alex about her potential biases and questioned her ability to genuinely address issues of power given her personal relationship with Paul. This unexpected challenge on camera left Alex visibly flustered, as her insistence on avoiding any mention of her involvement with Paul had unintended consequences.
6 Alex Fires Chip In The Morning Show Season 3
Unsurprisingly, the failed interview resulted in yet another heated argument between Alex and Chip. Alex placed the blame on her producer for not putting enough effort into securing good interviewees and accusing him of not properly vetting Jess. In response, Chip defended himself by pointing out the interview's valid points and suggesting that the situation could have been avoided if Alex had made a statement. Chip expressed his frustration at continually having to clean up after Alex's mistakes, only for her to create new ones and shift the blame onto him. Similar to Cory's relationship with Bradley, Chip felt that Alex owed him. Eventually, Alex reached her breaking point and fired Chip.
To Alex's shock and dismay, Chip revealed that he had never actually contracted COVID-19, as he had led her to believe in The Morning Show season 2 finale. Alex had never requested him to do this, highlighting the blurred boundaries between them caused by Chip's love for Alex and their extensive history. It remains uncertain if this marks the definitive end of their professional collaboration, but if it does, Alex may struggle to find someone she can trust and who is willing to work with her. Likewise, Chip would need to let go of his feelings for Alex or at least prevent them from affecting their work.
5 Laura Discovers The Truth About Hal, Bradley & Cory
In episode 8 of The Morning Show season 3, Laura was able to uncover Bradley and Cory's long-held secret. Despite reuniting with Bradley, Laura still harbored doubts about her girlfriend's relationship with Cory. Seeking advice from her co-anchor Audra, Laura delved into the hacked information on UBA's website to investigate any connection between Cory and Bradley. To her expectation, Laura stumbled upon crucial information that revealed the hidden truth involving Bradley, Cory, and Hal's involvement in the events of January 6.
This realization implies that if Laura, through her research on public websites, was able to uncover the truth in The Morning Show, anyone else could potentially do the same. However, Laura has yet to act on her discovery, choosing instead to lie to Bradley about being unwell in order to process the disappointing news on her own. But with Laura's outburst towards Bradley in the season 3 trailer, it is clear that this storyline is far from over, focusing on her confrontation regarding the coverup of Hal's participation in the January 6 insurrection.
4 Mia & Andre Get Back Together In The Morning Show
Just when things seemed to be done between Mia and Andre, he made his way to her office in the final episode of season 3 of The Morning Show to offer his apologies. Nonetheless, Mia declared that she could no longer be with him or individuals of his ilk, acknowledging that neither of them were capable of changing. She suggested that being together would only result in recurring issues. Despite her initial hesitation, Andre managed to win her over and, hopefully, he will treat her better in the upcoming episodes.
3 Paul Wants To Sell UBA & Start Over
Throughout season 3 of The Morning Show, Alex's focus has been on rescuing UBA. However, her recent decision to dismiss Chip has led her to doubt whether it is truly worth the effort. This realization has inspired Paul to reveal his innovative plan for UBA's future. According to his vision, once the deal is finalized, they would sell the network and commence a fresh start. Their aim is to eliminate sports, entertainment, streaming, and scripted content, thereby establishing a new foundation centered solely on news. If they succeed in executing this strategy, Alex would finally attain the power she has relentlessly pursued since the inception of The Morning Show.
2 Paul’s Assistant Meets With Fred
Fred made an unexpected appearance at Cory’s party in episode 4 of The Morning Show season 3, but vanished thereafter. Paul’s negotiations had initially seemed promising in regards to permanently removing the disgraced former UBA president. However, in episode 8, Paul’s assistant, Amanda, secretly met with Fred to ascertain the value of UBA’s assets. Fully aware of their motives, Fred offered his assistance willingly. It is doubtful that Alex is aware of his involvement, and given Fred’s history, he could potentially jeopardize the plan and bring about UBA’s utter downfall.
1 The Morning Show Employees Honor Hannah 3 Years After Her Death
Wrapping up on a touching note, The Morning Show’s season 3, episode 8 concluded with a solemn gathering of the show’s employees to pay tribute to Hannah on the third anniversary of her passing. This occasion also provided a valuable perspective on the passage of time since season 1 commenced and Bradley's entry into UBA. Notably absent were Mia, who was accompanying Andre, and Alex, whose invitation status remains uncertain. As the season 3 finale draws near, The Morning Show has truly come a long way from its season 1 conclusion, making this closure all the more fitting.
