The Magical Disney Century: Shocking Elimination on 'Dancing With the Stars' Revealed

During the October 17 episode, Dancing With the Stars commemorated the centenary of Walt Disney Studios by having contestants perform to popular songs from Disney classics. Mauricio Umansky, a star from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and his partner Emma Slater began the evening with an impressive Pasa Doble routine set to "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" from Fantasia. Umansky, who is 53 years old, sported the renowned sorcerer's hat and Mickey Mouse ears, paying homage to the iconic 1940 animated film.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba praised the real estate mogul for his impressive performance, stating that it improved with each dance. Despite the enchanting theme night, Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber, as well as Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd, received the lowest scores. However, viewers ultimately voted off Adrian Peterson and Britt Stewart.

During Tuesday's episode, the eliminated pair wasn't the only ones who encountered a setback. While performing a Jazz routine to "He's a Tramp" from Lady and the Tramp, Williams, 69, failed to execute a lift with Murgatroyd, 37.

Judge Bruno Tonioli acknowledged that the dance initially started well but pointed out that Murgatroyd almost fell to the floor due to Williams' error. In spite of this mishap, Williams attributed it to being slightly offbeat. Inaba, 55, still considered the routine as Williams' "best dance so far."

After their Jazz routine to "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, the judges also offered some tough love to Hannigan, 49, and Farber, 39. Inaba commented on Hannigan's adorable portrayal of Lumière, the candelabra, but expressed concern that her excessive animation sometimes overshadowed the musicality of the performance.

Tonioli, aged 67, shared the same opinion. "It lacked some musicality," he expressed to Hannigan. Prior to giving her a score of 6, he advised, "Pay attention to the music."

Before Hannigan took the stage, her friend Selma Blair visited the rehearsal studio to offer her guidance.

Blair, 51, urged the How I Met Your Mother alum to simply focus on their breathing as it plays a crucial role in preventing exhaustion. Last year, Blair participated in season 31 of DWTS alongside Farber. However, she made the difficult decision to withdraw from the competition in October 2022 due to health concerns associated with her ongoing struggle against multiple sclerosis.

Unfortunately, among the couples with the lowest scores, it was Adrian Peterson and Britt Stewart who were eliminated after viewers had their say. Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber and Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd also had low scores.

Inaba complimented Hannigan, who was portraying Lumière from the 1991 cartoon, saying, "You are the most adorable candelabra I've ever seen." However, she also pointed out that while Hannigan's performance was lively and energetic, at times it overshadowed the musicality of the piece.

Tonioli, who is 67 years old, shared the same sentiment. "It could have been more musical," he told Hannigan. He gave her a score of 6, but not before advising her, "Pay attention to the music."
