In 2013, news broke of Ricci and Heerdegan's engagement when she was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand.

Additionally, he was stripped of his visitation privileges with Freddie, their child, as well as their shared pet. In court records obtained by Us in January 2021, Ricci alleged that the abuse began in 2013 and worsened in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of April 2021, the film producer has been granted visitation rights, while Ricci retains sole legal custody of their only child.
After moving on from her time in Sleepy Hollow, the star began a relationship with Mark Hampton, and they made it official on Instagram three months later. In a birthday tribute to Hampton in July 2021, she referred to him as her favorite person, a beautiful person who brings happiness, magic, and goodness into her life. In October 2021, Ricci and Hampton got married, and two months later, they welcomed a daughter.
