Netflix's latest originals, Nowhere and Dear Child, make a striking impact on the all-time top 10 list, showcasing the streaming giant's exceptional content lineup this year

The Netflix top 10 list is always in flux, and we closely monitor it. Recently, two new movies have made their way into the platform's all-time top 10 list.

Throughout most of 2023, Netflix has been the market leader in terms of original content on the streaming platform.

From Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story to the recently released crime drama Bodies, the platform consistently delivers thrilling and original content to its audience. With upcoming projects like the spy-thriller series Black Doves eagerly anticipated, Netflix has now added two existing titles to its prestigious all-time top 10 list.

Nowhere and Dear Child enter Netflix all-time top 10

Netflix films Nowhere and Dear Child have officially entered the platform’s all-time top 10 list, according to What’s on Netflix.

The Spanish film Nowhere made its debut on Netflix on September 29, 2023, and has attracted more than 90 million hours of viewing time. Additionally, it remained on the top 10 lists of viewers' account feeds during its first two weeks of release.

The film tells the story of pregnant Mia who is fleeing a totalitarian country. However, her life takes a dangerous turn when a violent storm causes the container she is hiding in to fall overboard. Stranded and trapped, Mia must give birth and fight for survival in order to save her baby. Our article breaks down the suspenseful ending and explores whether the film is based on true events. Similarly, Dear Child made its debut on Netflix on September 8. Since its release, the movie has accumulated more than 200 million hours of viewership, maintaining a position in Netflix's top 10 for a span of 5 weeks.

As per Netflix, the storyline of the film is as follows:

Jasmin Grass (played by Kim Riedle) gets abducted in a parking garage in Dear Child, a German thriller series. She is then confined in a small, windowless apartment located within a dense forest in northern Germany. The kidnapper, whose identity remains concealed, changes her hair color from dark to blonde and renames her "Lena." From this point forward, she is compelled to follow his strict rules and take care of their young children, Hannah (Naila Schuberth) and Jonathan (Sammy Schrein).

Despite enduring this captivity for five months, Lena eventually manages a desperate and terrifying escape. However, she quickly realizes that she cannot evade her abductor.
