The Last of Us 2 Remastered File Size
The file size of The Last of Us 2 Remastered has been revealed, confirming that users will need 76.164 GB of storage space to install it. The Last of Us 2 Remastered is an enhanced version of the PS4 game, and it comes with a number of notable improvements. The enhanced version includes a new roguelike mode called No Return, allowing fans to play as various characters from the main story. In addition, it comes with three levels that were cut from the main game, along with other improvements such as increased texture resolution and shadow quality. Now, the file size of The Last of Us 2 Remastered has been confirmed, and it looks like gamers will need a substantial amount of free space to install it.
As revealed by PlayStation Game Size, fans will need 76.164 GB of storage to install The Last of Us 2 Remastered on their PS5 consoles. Furthermore, pre-load for The Last of Us 2 Remastered will start from January 12 at midnight local time, around a week before its official release on January 19. It should be noted that the option to pre-load is only available upon pre-ordering The Last of Us 2 Remastered, so users looking to upgrade their game from the PS4 version will probably have to wait for the full release.
PlayStation Game Size also took this opportunity to mention that The Last of Us 2 Remastered will be cheaper than a standard AAA release, as it will be priced at $49.99. Players who own the PS4 version of The Last of Us 2 can also choose to upgrade to the native PS5 version for $10, and this offer is valid for both digital and disc editions of the game. 76.164 GB is a notable amount of storage, but it's fairly common for current generation titles. Some games on PS5 far exceed this number, as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War can take over 300 GB of space, while Marvel's Avengers is sitting at just under 200 GB. Overall, 76.164 GB looks to be in line with many other AAA games available on PS5.
The Last of Us 2 Remastered comes out in just over a month, and Naughty Dog recently confirmed that it’s currently working on multiple brand-new single-player titles as well. Unfortunately, this news came alongside the cancellation of the multiplayer game set in The Last of Us universe, as the development team mentioned that it wants to focus on single-player narrative-driven games.
