A fan-made clip of Zelda reveals the consequences of players choosing not to leave the hot air balloon with Impa in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. After completing the initial quests on Great Sky Island, Link has the opportunity to reunite with Impa and embark on a new quest line.

Once the Closed Door quest is finished, Rauru says goodbye to Link, allowing the hero to safely free fall into mainland Hyrule. Players can guide Link to Central Hyrule to reunite with Purah and continue the main storyline, while also having the freedom to explore and uncover secrets throughout the world. The game offers numerous optional main quests and side quests, giving players additional opportunities for adventure. Additionally, once Link meets Impa at Hyrule Ridge, he can start collecting Memories.

During the "Impa and the Geoglyphs" main quest line in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a player by the name of DDoodles_ captured a gameplay clip showcasing what occurs when Link remains with Impa on the hot air balloon. As the flame supplying heated air eventually extinguishes, the balloon separates from the basket containing Impa and Link. In a state of panic, Impa calls out for assistance, but the game does not warrant their descent into free fall. Instead, as a precautionary measure for Impa, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom seamlessly transitions to another scene.

Upon reloading the game, Impa and Link find themselves back at the hot air balloon station near the New Serenne Stable in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Relieved to have landed safely without any injuries, Impa engages in conversation with Link. Interestingly, the hot air balloon reappears in Hyrule Ridge, although Impa provides no additional explanation regarding this mysterious occurrence.

Nintendo has implemented this dialogue to prevent players from encountering issues in Impa's quest line after the hot air balloon disappears in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Additionally, players without a paraglider will not be forced into a sudden descent, ensuring their safety in Hyrule.
