The Hangover flawlessly depicted a disastrous weekend for a group of guys and launched several successful Hollywood careers in the process.

The 2009 movie tracks Doug and his three friends as they embark on a wild bachelor party in Las Vegas. However, their plans go awry when they wake up with no memory of the previous night and realize the groom is missing.

Upon its release, the irreverent comedy became a huge hit, earning $16,734,033 in a single day. It has since generated $467,416,722 globally and led to the creation of two sequels: 2011’s The Hangover Part II and 2013’s The Hangover Part III.

While the cast has expressed their enjoyment in creating the outrageous franchise, they have no immediate plans to film another installment.

“Look, that was a significant portion of my life that I absolutely do not regret, but I do wish we had only done one,” Galifianakis confessed during an interview on the “WTF With Marc Maron” podcast in January 2016. “I think [it’s best to] leave well enough alone sometimes.”

'The Hangover' Cast: Where Are They Now

The Hangover flawlessly depicted a disastrous guys' weekend and launched several successful Hollywood careers. The movie, released in 2009, chronicles the journey of Doug and his three friends as they embark on a wild adventure during his bachelor party in Las Vegas. However, their escapade takes a dark turn when they wake up with no memory of the previous night and realize that the groom is missing.

Upon its release, the raunchy comedy was a huge hit, earning $16,734,033 in a single day. It has gone on to make $467,416,722 globally and led to the creation of two sequels: The Hangover Part II in 2011 and The Hangover Part III in 2013.

While the actors have expressed their enjoyment in working on the outrageous franchise, they have no plans to rush into filming another installment.

"During an interview on the “WTF With Marc Maron” podcast in January 2016, Galifianakis candidly expressed that while he doesn't regret his time on the film, he wishes they had only done one installment. Bradley Cooper (Phil)

Cooper's breakout came with The Hangover. He has received eight Academy Award nominations and a Tony Award nomination, winning two Grammy Awards and a BAFTA Award. Other notable roles include appearances in Limitless (2011), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), American Hustle (2013), and American Sniper (2014). In 2018, he wrote, directed, and starred in A Star Is Born alongside Lady Gaga. He also directed and starred in Maestro, a Leonard Bernstein biopic, in 2023.

Cooper was previously married to Jennifer Esposito and then dated Renée Zellweger. He was in a relationship with Irina Shayk from 2015 to 2019, and they share a daughter named Lea de Seine, born in March 2017.

Us magazine reported in July 2022 that Cooper had entered into a relationship with Huma Abedin "for a few months now" following brief speculation of a romance with Dianna Agron earlier in the year. In 2023, he was seen publicly with Gigi Hadid.

Zach Galifianakis (Alan)

Zach Galifianakis, known for his comedic acting, rose to fame on VH1’s Late World With Zach in 2002 before becoming famous for his role in the Hangover trilogy. He also appeared in Due Date (2010), The Campaign (2012), Birdman (2014), and Masterminds (2016). His digital talk show, Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, won an Emmy in 2014 and 2015 for Outstanding Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program. From 2016 to 2019, the North Carolina native starred as the title character on FX’s Baskets. In August 2012, he married Quinn Lundberg, and they have two sons together.

Ed Helms (Stu)

In addition to his role in The Hangover, Helms is renowned for his portrayal of Andy Bernard on The Office from 2006 to 2013. He also served as a correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. With a background in sketch comedy, the Oberlin alum has lent his voice to animated films such as The Lorax (2012) and Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017). His most recent project, Rutherford Falls, premiered on Peacock in 2021.

Ken Jeong (Mr. Chow)

Jeong's career took off when he starred on NBC's Community and appeared in the Hangover films. He later landed his own series on ABC, Dr. Ken, which aired from 2015 to 2017, and became a judge on Fox's The Masked Singer. In addition to his work in entertainment, Jeong is also a licensed physician. He has appeared in popular comedy films such as Knocked Up (2007), Role Models (2008), Ride Along 2 (2016), Crazy Rich Asians (2018), and Tom and Jerry (2021). Jeong and his wife, Tran Ho, have twin daughters.

Justin Bartha (Doug)

The actor from Florida has gained recognition for his role as Riley Poole in the popular National Treasure movies, as well as for his successful appearances on television as David Sawyer in NBC’s The New Normal and Colin Morrello in CBS’ The Good Fight.

Bartha wed Lia Smith in Hawaii in January 2014, three months before welcoming their first daughter, Asa. Two years later, daughter Ruby arrived.

Heather Graham (Jade)

Graham gained recognition for her performances in Six Degrees of Separation (1993) and Boogie Nights (1997) before her role in The Hangover. Following her success in The Hangover, she went on to star in At Any Price (2012), Horns (2013), and reprised her role in The Hangover Part III (2013). On television, she has made appearances on Sex and the City, Scrubs, Californication, and Angie Tribeca.

From 2011 to 2018, she was in a relationship with Israeli screenwriter Yaniv Raz.

Sasha Barrese (Tracy)

Barrese was born in Hawaii and made a name for herself with small roles in American Pie (1999), Hellraiser: Inferno (2000) and Legally Blonde (2001).

The Supernatural alum has established a thriving career as a professional poker player in addition to his acting pursuits. He participated in the 2014 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, as well as various other tournaments.

Jeffrey Tambor (Sid)

The Hollywood career of the California native spanned many decades before The Hangover, with notable roles in Mr. Mom (1983), There's Something About Mary (1998) and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). He is also recognized for his portrayal of George Bluth Sr. and Oscar Bluth in Arrested Development, as well as Maura Pfefferman on Transparent, for which he received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards. He departed from the show in 2017 following allegations of sexual misconduct made by his former assistant, Van Barnes, and actress Trace Lysette. He has denied the accusations.

Mike Tyson (Himself)

Before embarking on his acting career, the New Yorker was a professional boxer from 1985 to 2005. Despite being regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers, Tyson remains a controversial figure due to his three-year prison sentence for rape. His lawyer at the time argued that Tyson believed the encounter was consensual. Following his release on parole, Tyson has appeared in Adult Swim’s Mike Tyson Mysteries and collaborated with Madonna on her 2015 song “Rebel Heart.” In May 2021, ABC premiered a documentary about his life titled Mike Tyson: The Knockout.

Rob Riggle (Officer Franklin)

Originally from Kentucky, he began his career on Saturday Night Live before leaving after one season in 2005. He then became a correspondent on The Daily Show and had a recurring role on Modern Family from 2013 to 2019. Riggle's film credits include Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), 21 Jump Street (2012), Dumb and Dumber To (2014), Absolutely Anything (2015), and Night School (2018).

He has a daughter named Abigail and a son named George with his ex-wife Tiffany Riggle, from whom he separated in October 2020.

Rachael Harris (Melissa)

While she has appeared on series such as Sister, Sister, Reno 911!, New Girl, Suits, and The Good Wife, Harris is most recognized for her roles as Shanna on Cougar Town and Dr. Linda Martin on Lucifer.

In April 2015, the actress from Kicking & Screaming eloped with violinist Christian Hebel. The couple welcomed sons Henry and Otto in 2016 and 2018, respectively, before parting ways in 2019.

Matt Walsh (Dr. Valsh)

From 2012 to 2019, Walsh brought to life the character of Mike McLintock on HBO’s Veep, a role that garnered him two Emmy nominations. He is also recognized for his performances in Road Trip (2000), Bad Santa (2003), School for Scoundrels (2006), Role Models (2008), and The Do-Over (2016). In 2023, he participated in season 32 of Dancing With the Stars. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine alum and Morgan Walsh are proud parents to three children.

Mike Epps (Black Doug)

The actor took over from Martin Lawrence as the voice of Boog in Open Season 2 in 2008, and is most famous for his portrayal of Day-Day Jones in Next Friday (2000) and its sequel, Friday After Next (2002).

In 2014, Epps had a warrant issued for his arrest by police in Atlanta after allegedly assaulting comedian LaVar Walker. At the time, he stated that he was mistakenly identified as the assailant. Three years later, Epps sparked criticism for bringing a kangaroo onto the stage during one of his performances, for which he later apologized.

Epps was previously married to Mechelle McCain from 2006 to 2017. He later wed Kyra Robinson in 2019.
