Is It a Musical?
Both previous Wonka movies incorporated songs, and the upcoming one will also feature musical numbers. According to a report by Deadline in May 2021, the film is set to include "several" musical sequences, providing Chalamet with his first chance to showcase his singing and dancing abilities.
After five months, Chalamet expressed his sentiment of "desecrating history" during his performance at Abbey Road Studios. He also subtly indicated that the movie does not aim to convey a more somber storyline.
