The Fire Hunter Season 2 plot
The story, based on the 2018-2020 fantasy novel series by Rieko Hinata and illustrated by Akihiro Yamada, is set in a distant future where humans instantly combust in the presence of fire. This led to the devolution of human civilization until they discovered a new fuel made from the blood of demonic Fire Fiends.
In Season One, we meet Touko, a young girl from a paper-making town who stumbles upon a battle between a Fire Hunter and a Fire Fiend in the forest. The Fire Hunter sacrifices himself to save Touko from a fiery death, leading her village to task her with delivering the hunter's dog Kanata and belongings to his family in the Capital. Throughout the season, viewers follow Touko on her long and perilous journey to fulfill her duty.
The Fire Hunter Season 2 cast and crew
The official plot for the second season has not been released by the creators. Nevertheless, the adaptation of the novels will continue, and the second season is anticipated to reveal more about Touko's journey to the Capital and her destiny.
The original cast members of Season 1 will return to play their roles in 2024. In addition, two new cast members, Manaka Iwami as Yururuho and M.A.O. as Ruri Matsuri, have been added to the lineup.

Signal. MD will once again produce the second season of the anime, with the same production crew as the first season. Junji Nishimura, director of Chained Soldier, will lead the project, while Ghost in the Shell director Mamoru Oshii will return to write the scripts. The characters will be designed by Takuya Saito and the music composed by Kenji Kawai. The second season will premiere on WOWOW in Japan, with Crunchyroll expected to hold the international streaming rights, as it did for the first season.
