Cody Rhodes and his wife, Brandi Rhodes, entered the realm of wrestling royalty when they exchanged vows in 2013. Their paths first crossed in 2011 during their time at WWE, but it was a bewitching evening that convinced Brandi that Cody, a six-time champion in tag team wrestling, was her soulmate.
"Cody and I formed an instant connection. Our engagement came shortly after, but the moment I knew Cody was the one for me was when he invited me on a date to Halloween Horror Night at Universal Studios," she shared with Sports Illustrated in September 2016. "No one had ever asked me to go to Halloween Horror Night before, and despite being a horror enthusiast, I had never attended."
As their relationship blossomed, they also gained recognition in the wrestling industry. The couple played a significant role in the establishment of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2019. A year later, they revealed the joyous news of expanding their family. Their daughter, Liberty, was born in June 2021.

Cody Rhodes and his wife, Brandi Rhodes, achieved wrestling royalty status when they got married in 2013.
The couple first crossed paths in 2011 while employed at WWE, and it was on a memorable date night that Brandi realized Cody, a six-time tag team championship winner, was the person she had been waiting for.
"I quickly formed a connection with Cody, and our engagement ensued shortly after. However, it was when Cody asked me to join him on a date to Halloween Horror Night at Universal Studios that I had a revelation - he was undoubtedly the person for me," she shared with Sports Illustrated in September 2016. "No one had ever thought to take me to Halloween Horror Night before, despite my love for horror. It was an unforgettable moment."
As their romance blossomed, their presence in the wrestling industry flourished. They played a major role in the establishment of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2019. A year later, they delightedly announced their expanding family. Their daughter, Liberty, was joyously welcomed into the world in June 2021.

2011
The professional wrestlers initially crossed paths during their tenure with WWE. Brandi, at that time known as Eden, was fulfilling the role of an announcer, while Cody was actively involved in wrestling, adopting the persona of Stardust. As fate would have it, the duo's relationship blossomed and they embarked on their inaugural outing, heading to a Waffle House for their first rendezvous. Brandi disclosed in an April 2014 WWE interview that the couple then proceeded to have their second more formal meal at the esteemed Cracker Barrel restaurant.

November 2012
The former WWE Smackdown! star, Cody Rhodes, got down on one knee and popped the question to Brandi. The exciting news was then announced by Brandi herself on Twitter. "Last night was a special moment just for us, but now it's time to share the joy! @CodyRhodesWWE is now officially my fiancé! (Or my Beyoncé for those in the know)," she happily revealed.

"We are thrilled, grateful, and overflowing with love!" Brandi excitedly announced on Instagram, sharing the news of their first baby. "It's the perfect next chapter for us. #babynightmare."
The native of Georgia also took to social media to make his own announcement, saying, "I can't wait for the baby to resemble Brandi. Thank you all for the overwhelming love and support. I'm going to be a father!"

Cody shared exclusively with Us during an AEW appearance that he is expecting a baby girl. He expressed his excitement and pride, mentioning that he had a strong intuition about the gender. Cody added that he is looking forward to the experience, emphasizing that he won't cry on camera. Brandi joined the conversation, commenting that she didn't have the same gut feeling as Cody.

Brandi celebrated her 38th birthday a few weeks before giving birth to her first child, a daughter named Liberty. "It may sound a bit unbelievable, but Cody spent nearly an entire month on the Go-Big Show set, barely being able to spend time with me and the baby," Brandi exclusively revealed to Us. "Oddly enough, I think it was actually a good thing because it coincided with the most challenging period of my transition. It spared him from having to deal with a lot of difficult situations if he had been present."
In the same month, Brandi revealed to Us that she went through postpartum depression following the arrival of Liberty. Cody, on the other hand, expressed his determination to support his wife throughout this journey.
"I truly want to understand her experience and be her rock," he stated. "I don't want to reflect on this time and realize that she went through it alone... Regardless of how hectic life gets, I am committed to being there for her in every aspect."

The pair disclosed their resignation from All Elite Wrestling after contributing to the establishment of the company and its triumph in wrestling events. "AEW has been an extraordinary experience for me. The locker room is exceptional, the fans are incredible, and the people involved are amazing," Cody expressed in his statement. "We truly showcased a 'revolution' on television, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been a part of it."
The duo also thanked one another for their support over the past few years, with Brandi calling Cody her “constant rock and partner every single day.”
