The CW is renowned for its extensive range of shows based on different DC comics, including Arrow, The Flash, and Gotham Knights.

In 2012, the network first launched its superhero lineup with the introduction of Arrow. Stephen Amell took on the role of Oliver Queen, who eventually transformed into the iconic Green Arrow. After portraying Oliver for almost ten years, Amell decided to leave the bow and arrow behind and venture into Starz's wrestling drama, Heels.

"I was initially unsure and had no specific expectations," revealed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actor in an exclusive interview with We Magazine in August 2021. "After Arrow, I hadn't even considered my next step. However, they approached me and my manager praised the exceptional quality of the scripts."

In the meantime, Grant Gustin, after eight years of portraying Barry Allen on The Flash, shared a heartfelt tribute reflecting on his experience.

On Saturday, I bid farewell to The Flash and the Flash family. It was a truly remarkable day, filled with moments that I will hold dear for the rest of my life. My family had the opportunity to witness my final scene as The Flash, a moment that seemed unimaginable when I embarked on this journey almost a decade ago.

In March 2023, I expressed my gratitude via Instagram, acknowledging the significance of this milestone. I had the chance to personally thank the hardworking crew, who dedicated countless hours to making our show a reality. Their unwavering commitment enabled us to create a remarkable 184 episodes of The Flash. Beyond our professional collaborations, I will deeply miss the light-hearted conversations and laughter we shared in between takes, and sometimes even during takes. Despite the challenges I faced along this journey, it is undeniable that I found joy and laughter every single day during my nine-plus years of work. This experience has allowed me to make mistakes and grow as an individual.

To be honest, I wasn't actively seeking anything," revealed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actor in an exclusive interview with We in August 2021. "I hadn't even considered my next career move after Arrow. But then they came looking for me. They sought me out, and when my manager read the scripts, he was really impressed."
