However, it remains unclear how much time players will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Valisthea through the demo.

How Long Is The Final Fantasy 16 Demo?

The Final Fantasy 16 demo introduces players to key characters such as Clive Rosfield, Joshua, Jill Warrick, and the loyal canine Torgal. Set in a medieval world filled with war, betrayals, and the formidable Eikons - powerful summoned monsters that can shift the balance of the conflict - the demo serves as a prologue, immersing gamers into its captivating Game of Thrones-like narrative.

However, fans will have to wait until June 22nd, 2023, when the full game is released, to delve deeper into Clive's story. For those who rush through the gameplay and skip the cutscenes, the demo can be completed in under 90 minutes. However, those who prefer a more immersive experience, taking their time to explore, discover every item, engage in conversations with every character, and delve into the Active Time Lore, can extend the demo to two and a half hours. The Active Time Lore feature can be accessed by pausing the game at any moment, even during cutscenes, to uncover additional information about the characters and the world.

Eikonic Challenge Mode

In addition to completing the Final Fantasy 16 demo, players have the opportunity to engage in the Eikonic Challenge Mode. This mode offers players a chance to immerse themselves in FF16's combat mechanics, as an adult Clive embarks on a mission alongside Cidolfus Telemon. While saving the game is not possible in this mode, fans can explore the combat system by utilizing Clive's Eikon magic, with a focus on epic battles involving Titan, Phoenix, and Garuda. Additionally, players can also experience an intense boss fight against Benedikta, which may entice them to replay the challenge. The Eikonic Challenge is estimated to take players around an hour, adding to the overall gameplay time of the Final Fantasy 16 demo, which can last up to three and a half hours.

Final Fantasy 16 will be available for the PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023.
