In the previous week's chapter of Kagurabachi, there was a brilliant display of events. Chapter 5 further revealed exciting details regarding the location of the enchanted sword, Cloud Gouger. Through Shiba's impressive interrogation skills, the owner of the blade was identified. Additionally, towards the conclusion of the chapter, Chihiro encountered a new adversary.

The highly anticipated fifth chapter of Kagurabachi was released in Shuiesha's Weekly Shonen Jump issue 46 on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 12 am JST. Titled "A Good Meal," the chapter commenced with Chihiro and Shiba returning to Hinao's place along with Char.
Hinao presented Char with brand new clothing, although it was slightly oversized. She then expressed gratitude to Chihiro for looking after Char and inquired about the reason behind the sorcerers' pursuit. The protagonist responded that he himself was eager to find out. In that moment of Kagurabachi chapter 5, Char requested something to eat, having consumed only two bites of Soba.

Due to the lack of food at Hinao's place, Chihiro volunteered to purchase some for both of them. In the meantime, Hinao was entrusted with the responsibility of keeping an eye on Char. Shortly after, Shiba inquired about the condition of the dark-haired protagonist's hands, expressing concern over the excessive use of sorcery powers.
As a result, Chihiro was advised by Shiba to take his car and Char back to get some rest. Furthermore, Shiba instructed his partner to leave the defeated mysterious sorcerer, known as the "Cylinder Head," to him. In Kagurabachi chapter 5, it was revealed that Char had secretly entered Shiba's car while Chihiro was in the washroom.

Char proceeded to explain to Chihiro her strong longing to go outside after being confined in a gloomy location for an extended period. However, she remained reluctant to disclose the reason behind her capture. At this point, the protagonist with dark hair recalled how Char's mother sacrificed herself to protect her and inquired about her culinary preferences.
Chapter 5 of Kagurabachi featured an intense panel where Shiba conducted an interrogation with a mysterious sorcerer. The whereabouts of the enchanted blade became the primary focus of the conversation. However, the sorcerer, fearing for both his and Shiba's lives, refrained from speaking. Additionally, he cautioned Shiba about a massive power lurking behind all the ongoing incidents.
Elsewhere, Chihiro lavished Char with a delectable feast, commencing with a scrumptious sandwich, moving on to indulgent desserts, and culminating with a refreshing beverage. Several frames later, within the pages of Kagurabachi chapter 5, an enigmatic individual was witnessed subjecting one of his subordinates to torment. Evidently, this mysterious figure had dispatched the daruma-sorcerer to pursue Char.

He subjected one of his subordinates to torture, angered by the fact that the individual, who was meant to provide backup, failed to apprehend Char and returned empty-handed instead. However, amidst this, the dark-haired man stumbled upon the revelation of an additional enchanted blade, distinct from the already known set of six.
Intrigued by this discovery, he resolved to take extreme measures, instructing his men to unlock the confines of the child's cage. Meanwhile, Char fondly recollected the countless instances when her mother had emphasized the importance of leading a joyous existence. Admitting that she found genuine happiness in the company of Chihiro, the young girl expressed her contentment.
In Kagurabachi chapter 5, an exciting revelation occurs when Shiba reaches out to Chihiro to disclose details about their upcoming target, Genichi Sojo. This information was obtained from the reliable "Cylinder Head" source and sheds light on Genichi's position as Shiba's superior as well as his relentless pursuit of Char. Known for his involvement in the arms trade industry and his dominance over Japan, Genichi wields the renowned Cloud Gouger, a blade infused with enchanting powers.
Chihiro's partner deduced from his discussion with the cylinder head that Genichi Sojo possibly had a link to the Hishaku. Shiba informed Chihiro that he would reach out to Hinao for further investigation on the matter and they would devise a strategy upon his return. Suddenly, the street in front of Chihiro transformed into a twisted spiral, revealing the disturbing emergence of Genichi Sojo.
