About After-School Hanako-kun:
After-School Hanako-kun has just been announced as the "first installment," effectively making the initial 12-episode anime series a sequel. This reboot will faithfully adapt the original manga source from the very beginning, ensuring that none of the crucial chapters that were previously rushed are skipped. While it is a spin-off mini-series, it will maintain a runtime of no more than 10 minutes.
After-School Hanako-kun revolves around Nene Yashiro, a first-year high school student attending Kamome academy, a renowned school known for its supernatural phenomena. As a passionate believer in the occult, Nene summons Hanako-san, one of the formidable spirits known as the Seven Wonders, renowned for haunting the school's bathrooms and granting wishes.
Unbeknownst to Nene, her encounter with Hanako leads to a spiritual connection, thrusting her into the responsibility of maintaining the delicate balance between the spirit world and the human realm. As time progresses, Nene gradually unravels the true identity of Hanako and delves into his haunting and mysterious past.
