Wes Bergmann and his wife, Amanda Hornick, recently became first-time parents with the arrival of their baby No. 1. Bergmann took to Instagram on Friday, September 29, to share the exciting news and introduce their daughter, Lucy Jean. He posted a photo of himself and Hornick lovingly holding their newborn, along with the details of her birth: September 28, weighing 7lb 11oz, and measuring in the 50th percentile for height. Bergmann couldn't hide his joy as he expressed his happiness about the health of their little girl and their growing family.

The Challenge star and the yoga instructor revealed in April 2023 that they were expecting their first child. In Instagram photos featuring sonogram pictures, they excitedly announced, "Baby Bergmann, arriving this September." They expressed their gratitude towards friends, family, and supporters who have helped them grow as individuals, and now they aspire to shower all their love onto their child, hoping to nurture the next great, red-haired genius.

Acknowledging the waiting period involved, they also send love and strength to others who dream of becoming parents someday. Could this child potentially be a future Challenge champion?

Shortly after announcing their pregnancy, Hornick shared a heartwarming video of Bergmann's precious moments with their dog, Penny. "I am the luckiest," she wrote, when asked what excites her the most about becoming a mother, "to witness this man become a father."

Throughout her pregnancy journey, Hornick documented her experiences on social media. Just a few weeks ago, she expressed her readiness for the arrival of their first child. "Baby B, I'm 'ready' whenever you are," she captioned a collection of baby bump photos. Although she acknowledged feeling conflicted when asked if she was fully prepared, she reminded herself that the essentials - a loving home, a place to sleep, and the basics - were the most important. She realized that any additional items could easily be obtained through convenient means like same-day delivery or the help of well-meaning individuals.

Hornick expressed her willingness to fully embrace and accept the current state of things, including the idea of relying on others for assistance, taking time to relax, and cherishing these precious moments before a significant and positive transformation occurs in our lives.

Bergmann and Hornick got married in June 2018, following a proposal at a Kansas City Royals game two years prior. Reflecting on their wedding, he expressed to MTV News, "The vows were my favorite part. They were a perfect blend of sincerity and humor."

Bergmann has emerged as the victorious champion of The Challenge on three separate occasions, with his most recent triumph occurring in 2022. During this victory, he humorously mentioned his intention to indulge himself with the $250,000 grand prize.

In a lighthearted conversation with E! News, he quipped, "I believe everyone has different motivations for participating, but haven't we all fantasized about owning a Lamborghini?" He further revealed that he allocated a significant portion of his cash prize, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars, to facilitate an unofficial reunion in his hometown of Kansas City, where he invited his Challenge co-stars to join him. In a playful twist, he indicated that purchasing a Lamborghini would be a more responsible decision compared to supporting his family.
