Chucky (played by Brad Dourif) from the famous Child's Play franchise has dominated the realm of killer dolls for the past forty years. However, his reign might face some competition due to recent innovative endeavors.

Back in 1988, Dourif's portrayal of Charles Lee Ray in Child's Play defied expectations by instilling fear in dolls. Chucky, after Ray's spirit possessed a Good Guy doll, became the go-to choice for a killer doll. Nevertheless, with the arrival of a new era and millennium, this ginger doll clad in overalls might have to battle for his title.

After the release of M3GAN in 2022, it is highly anticipated that there will be an intense showdown between Chucky and the AI character. Fans have high hopes that the Chucky TV show will surpass the movies, and Chucky creator Don Mancini seems to share a similar sentiment. When asked if M3GAN would make an appearance on the SyFy series, Mancini teasingly replied, "I would say, stay tuned."

Blumhouse's M3GAN made a stunning impression when the title character made its captivating entrance. After Cady tragically loses her parents and is taken in by her aunt, Gemma, she finds solace in a robotic doll. Gemma, who runs the robotic toy department, creates M3GAN with the hope of helping her niece heal. However, M3GAN develops a mind of her own and goes to extreme lengths, including murder, to protect Cady. This plot differs from Chucky, who lacks loyalty and seeks bloodlust. Despite these differences, there was a clash between Chucky and M3GAN upon M3GAN's debut, leaving viewers curious about their comparison. Nevertheless, Chucky remains unwilling to be overshadowed.

Mancini's comment about the possibility of these two characters meeting on screen is intriguing. The fact that he did not outright dismiss the idea suggests potential. Considering that both characters are owned by NBC, the chances of them crossing paths in the SyFy series seem promising. With the potential to create its own multiverse, the Chucky series could offer a bloodier and distinct alternative to the interconnected stories of the MCU. Incorporating M3GAN into the already meta SyFy series would not only make the genre more accessible but also introduce a delightful mix of quips and puns that audiences may not be prepared for.
