Screen Rant exclusively presents the trailer for The Bastard Sons, showcasing its tense atmosphere. Director and co-writer Kevin Interdonato weaves the story together, centering around Vincent, the protagonist who must rally his group of brothers following his father's murder. Despite having built a life for himself away from his father's influence, the bonds of love and loyalty compel him and the other orphaned members of the crime syndicate to seek justice and correct the latest wrongdoing.
Interdonato expressed his aspirations for The Bastard Sons in a press release for Cranked Up Films, stating, "I aimed to capture the gritty reality of present-day gangsters in a high-stakes scenario. My intention was to create relatable characters that deviate from the stereotypical portrayals commonly seen on film."
My perspective was shaped by the contribution of my creative team, including Amanda Clayton, Peter Dobson, and John Fallon. We are extremely excited to have Cranked Up Films representing us and fully embracing and supporting my vision. We believe that the film will strongly resonate with audiences.
In addition to directing The Bastard Sons, Interdonato collaborated with Glenn Rodriguez in writing the screenplay. This passion project was produced by Interdonato, Nicholas Larrabure, Joe Minnella, Joseph Sernio, Jeff Stewart, and Charles Malik Whitfield. Whitfield, known for his roles in The Temptations and Chicago Med, also stars in the film alongside UFC champion Frankie Edgar and fellow actor from The Sopranos, Al Sapienza.
The Bastard Sons is slated for a July release from Cranked Up Films.
