In Remnant 2: The Awakened King, there are various rewards associated with the Misplaced Memoir quest item and Leywise, an NPC. Here is a list of the items you can obtain:

Where to find Leywise

Early on in your DLC run, you will encounter Leywise. After spawning in the Forlorn Coast, you will discover him inside the first sewer area adjacent to the docks.

Leywise introduces himself and offers various items for sale. One of his featured products is the Atonement Fold, a ring that not only causes your character to bleed but also enhances your critical hit chance by 10%.

Located in the sewers near the entrance/fast travel point of the Forlorn Coast, Leywise can be found there.

Misplaced Memoir location

Discovering the Remnant 2 Misplaced Memoir quest item proved to be a thrilling find as we ventured deeper into the Awakened King DLC. Navigating through the realms, we eventually stumbled upon a hidden back alley beyond the palace's entrance. This is where we encountered the enigmatic relic. To pinpoint this significant discovery, refer to the map below:

As we charted our course through the expansive Forlorn Coast, it was only after traversing most of its terrain that we stumbled upon the Misplaced Memoir.

In our run, we started in the Forlorn Coast and proceeded to explore the Great Sewers dungeon where we defeated the Bloat King miniboss. It is important to consider that procedural generation and randomness may have played a role in our experience.

We then proceeded to an area on the Forlorn Coast called the Drowned Wen, after which we ventured further past the dockyards (where we obtained the Ritualist class) until finally arriving at the Mournful Promenade. Due to the bridge leading to the palace being destroyed, we descended using a ladder that wound around the cliffside. This descent led us to a checkpoint, although it was not designated as a regular fast travel location.

After defeating a Nobleman elite at the palace ruins, we noticed the red radiance of the quest item, Misplaced Memoir, situated towards the rear of the square. Keep in mind that while journeying towards the palace yard, you may traverse various mini-zones as a result of procedural generation.

Reward #1: Index of the Scribe amulet

Acquire the Index of the Scribe in Remnant 2: The Awakened King by obtaining the Misplaced Memoir. Return to Leywise's location in the initial sewers area to proceed. Unlock a large wooden door at the palace yards that will lead you back down to the sewers.

Present the quest item to Leywise and receive the Index of the Scribe. This amulet grants the following effect: a 35% increase in mod and skill weak spot damage.

Reward #2: Burden of the Sciolist ring

To obtain the Burden of the Sciolist, refrain from giving Leywise the Misplaced Memoir. Instead, examine the Misplaced Memoir in your inventory by right-clicking on it. Manipulate the tome to reveal the interaction prompt, and then press the appropriate button to unfold the book's flap. This action will grant you the Bookbound Medallion, but it will also cause the Misplaced Memoir to vanish.

Proceed to return to Leywise and present him with the Bookbound Medallion. As a reward, he will bestow upon you the Sciolist Ring, which possesses the following effect: it diminishes ammunition reserves by 25% while amplifying mod and skill damage by 15%.

Reward #3: Paper Heart relic

Unlocking the Chamber of the Faithless door in Remnant 2: The Awakened King is the final reward. This area serves as the battleground for the One True King boss in his throne room. Once you reach the checkpoint, take note of the corridor on your right, which leads to a beautifully decorated door.

Instead of giving Leywise the Bookbound Medallion, choose to use it on the ornate door. Inside the small room, you will discover the Paper Heart relic, which provides the following benefits: When used, it heals you for up to 100% of your current health over a span of 0.25 seconds. You gain +1 stack for every 10% of health restored. After 15 seconds, each stack removes 10% of your health. Additionally, kills eliminate one stack.
