The spoilers for chapter 403 of My Hero Academia have been released. Fans were expecting a tragic outcome for All Might, but the manga pleasantly surprised them with the comeback of a beloved character. Although fans had hoped for another hero to save All Might, Bakugo unexpectedly became the one to bring joy to their hearts.

Bakugo had been absent from the manga for a significant period, leading fans to speculate that Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight had met his demise. However, mangaka Kohei Horikoshi offered a glimmer of hope when Ninja Hero: Edgeshot stepped in to rescue him. Now that Bakugo has returned, the question remains: what became of Edgeshot? Did he become Bakugo's savior?

My Hero Academia: Did Edgeshot sacrifice himself to save Katsuki Bakugo?

As depicted in the My Hero Academia anime (Image via BONES), the notable character Edgeshot, also known as the Ninja Hero, possessed a remarkable ability. While concrete details remain concealed due to potential spoilers from the manga, it is reasonably presumed that Edgeshot valiantly sacrificed himself to save Katsuki Bakugo. Employing his Quirk Foldabody, Edgeshot could effortlessly elongate and slim down his body and limbs, enabling him to become as slender as a thread.

Thus, upon discovering how Shigaraki's attack had caused Katsuki Bakugo's heart to rupture, Edgeshot transformed himself into a form as thin as a surgical suture in order to enter Bakugo's body and rescue him. However, the Ninja Hero's Quirk also carried a perilous side effect. Stretching his body to such extreme thinness gradually compromised Edgeshot's own lifespan. Consequently, his existence could potentially deteriorate to the point of slowly fading away.

Considering the time it took for Edgeshot to rescue Bakugo, it is possible that the Ninja Hero may have used up his entire lifespan in doing so. While treating Bakugo's ruptured heart as surgical sutures, Edgeshot may have successfully patched him up, resulting in the potential loss of his own lifespan. This would essentially make Edgeshot a part of Bakugo's heart. It can only be presumed at this point that Edgeshot became Bakugo's heart.

However, it is important to note that this has not yet been confirmed in the manga. The spoilers only mention Bakugo's return without any mention of Edgeshot. Therefore, there is still a small possibility that the Ninja Hero may have successfully separated from Bakugo. However, considering the high stakes of the fight and Bakugo's facial expression at the time, it is likely that a significant sacrifice was made.
