It’s not Thanksgiving without Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, but there’s one major change this year.
The broadcast of the 97th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 23 will begin 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, at 8:30 a.m. ET and conclude by noon. The parade will be broadcast live on NBC, with simultaneous airing on Peacock and Telemundo 47 New York. An encore presentation will be shown on NBC at 2 p.m. after the National Dog Show crowns its champion.
When the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade kicks off in uptown New York City, a dazzling array of floats, character balloons, and live performances will make their way to center stage in front of Macy’s Herald Square outpost. This year, the parade will be hosted by Today show anchors Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, and Al Roker.
"We black out, so no," quipped Kotb to We in November 2022 when asked about any embarrassing moments while emceeing the event with Guthrie. "There will be many coming up this year."
While they try not to dwell on potential mistakes, Kotb and Guthrie do consider the audience's reception.
Guthrie told Us that she loves layering her clothes, including tights, socks, heat tech, jeans, and boots that go up high over the knee. She also adds hand warmers, a scarf, and a hat to complete her look. Kotb added that it's like they're infernos, burning inside with all those layers.
This year’s parade will also showcase an array of high-profile performances. Expect to see appearances by Jessie James Decker, Brandy, David Foster and Katharine McPhee, En Vogue, Pentatonix, and Jon Batiste. In addition, special numbers will be presented by select Broadway productions such as & Juliet, Back to the Future: The Musical, and Spamalot, along with a captivating performance by the Radio City Rockettes.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to see Cher make her debut in the parade to close out the show, alongside Santa Claus ushering in the winter holidays. The 77-year-old legendary singer's appearance follows the release of her first holiday album, simply titled Christmas.
