Naming a child — let alone two — is an important task, and Kailyn Lowry is recruiting fans to help her do just that.
"Help name these babies," wrote the Teen Mom 2 alum, 31, in a post on her Instagram Story on Friday, October 27. This was the same day she shared the news that she and her boyfriend, Elijah Scott, are expecting twins. Lowry included a screenshot of a text from a friend, who emphasized the importance of choosing names before leaving the hospital.
Lowry's family has already suggested names. In a second Instagram Story post, she shared a text from her aunt that mentioned the name "Aire," which was a middle name used by her great great grandfather and his father. However, Lowry mentioned that this name is already being used by another celebrity's child.
"My aunt suggested it, but I don't want to follow through because of Kylie Jenner," she wrote as the caption for the text screenshot. (Jenner, 26, has children Aire, 20 months, and Stormi, 5, with her ex Travis Scott.)
On Friday, Lowry revealed her pregnancy during an episode of her podcast "Barely Famous" while conversing with pregnant TikTok star Allison Kuch. While discussing their recent trips to Thailand, Lowry playfully hinted, "I suppose we both brought back more than just memories."
Speculating further, she believed that she became pregnant prior to embarking on their trip with Elijah, her partner since April 2022. "Upon arrival, my appetite increased significantly and I noticed a flushed complexion, but I dismissed it, thinking, 'It can't be possible. There's no way I am pregnant.'"
Earlier this year, Lowry confirmed the birth of her fifth child, Rio, in late 2022. Rio is her first child with Elijah. Additionally, she has a 13-year-old son, Isaac, with her former partner Jo Rivera, a 9-year-old son, Lincoln, with her ex Javi Marroquin, and two sons, Lux (6) and Creed (3), with her ex Chris Lopez.

During an episode of the "Baby Mamas No Drama" podcast in July, Kailyn Lowry revealed that she first discovered Culpo's show while she was in the hospital giving birth to one of her children. Culpo's reality series, The Culpo Sisters, made its debut in November 2022.
Lowry recently shared the harrowing story of Rio's birth on her podcast "Barely Famous." She expressed her disappointment when her boyfriend, Elijah, did not cry upon witnessing the birth. This upset her because Elijah is typically a calm and composed person, and it takes a lot to impact him emotionally. However, she later found out that his lack of emotional response was a result of the traumatic experience surrounding Rio's birth. Immediately after delivery, Rio was rushed to the NICU, leaving Lowry with only a fleeting moment to hold him. This experience left her deeply scared and distraught.
