Taylor Swift has featured numerous famous men portraying her love interests in her music videos. Throughout her career, the Grammy winner has collaborated with various renowned actors to bring her artistic visions to fruition. One such example is Stephen Colletti, who played a significant role in her 2008 music video for "White Horse."
"Stephen was my top choice due to his impressive performance on One Tree Hill. I had also enjoyed watching Laguna Beach during its airing, and I couldn't help but find him incredibly charming," Swift expressed in a behind-the-scenes video for the project. "The reason why he is absolutely perfect for this role is because we were specifically seeking someone who exudes a delightful and endearing persona. He effortlessly embodies that sweetness... it's quite surprising, you'd never imagine that they would deceive."
In 2021, Swift enlisted Dylan O'Brien to co-star alongside Sadie Sink in the short film accompanying the extended version of "All Too Well." The actors appeared to portray characters reminiscent of Swift and her past relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, a subject heavily speculated to be the inspiration behind the song.
In November 2021, O'Brien expressed surprise at the fact that Taylor knew who he was. He admires her greatly and his admiration has only grown. He considers her to be an incredible person and exceptionally talented. When Taylor asked him how much time he needed to think about collaborating, he knew immediately that he wanted to say yes. O'Brien's response was immediate and enthusiastic, leaving no doubt in his mind.
