The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheering squad welcomed a new member with the arrival of quarterback Baker Mayfield's first child.

Baker's wife, Emily Mayfield, shared the exciting news on Instagram Story on Saturday, April 13, revealing that their baby girl was born on Tuesday night just before 7:30 p.m. She expressed their joy by saying, "She is truly everything we prayed for and more."

Baker and Emily, ages 28 and 33, welcomed their daughter Kova Jade on Tuesday, April 9. She weighed 9 pounds and 2 ounces.

On Saturday, Emily shared, "We're loving our time as a family of four," mentioning Baker, Kova, and their dog. "Fergus is gentle and curious. Baker is completely taken with Kova, and I wish these precious days could last forever."

In a second Instagram Story post, Emily revealed the first picture of their newborn daughter. Baker was seen holding baby Kova in a cozy white blanket on a bed. Their dog was also in the picture, resting a paw on Baker's hand. A white heart emoji covered Kova's face.

Emily expressed her overwhelming joy in the caption, saying, "My heart could burst any moment, I'm telling you. Bake was made to be a father."

In a joint Instagram post, the couple revealed their exciting news with maternity photos. They shared, "We’ve been hiding a little something…….. But we are THRILLED to share that baby girl Mayfield will be joining our crazy crew in early April 2024!"

Fellow NFL star Travis Kelce expressed his excitement about the couple’s addition. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, commented on the post, saying, “Ayyyeee!! Congrats you guys.”

Baker and Emily's marriage was once involved in a cheating scandal. A Cleveland Browns fan named Kacie Dingess alleged in February 2020 that she had a short fling with Baker the year before. (Baker used to be the quarterback for the Browns before moving to the Bucs.)

During an appearance on Rover’s Morning Glory show, Dingess shared a funny story about leaving. He joked, "Good doing business with you" when he left. The other person didn't like that and told him not to say that. Dingess reassured him that he was just kidding. Later, he lost his Juul in the person's car, so they had to search for it for a few minutes. Before parting ways, the person told Dingess to drive safely, and Dingess said, "OK, see ya."

Dingess claims that Baker blocked her on social media after she spoke out about her allegations. Neither Baker nor Emily have addressed Dingess' claims or the rumors about the NFL star being unfaithful.
