Carson Rowland recognizes that the bond between Ty and Annie is adored by Sweet Magnolias enthusiasts, and he believes their remarkable chemistry, reminiscent of the iconic "Jim and Pam" connection, is a major factor behind this adoration.

"The writers have a knack for building up suspense gradually, just like they did with the highly anticipated car crash in season 1. The season ends with a subtle hint towards a complicated relationship, leaving viewers on a massive cliffhanger. This will definitely leave people eager to come back for more, as they will be left wondering what happens next. Will they end up together or not? It's a mystery.

Ty and Annie have been friends their entire lives, but their dynamic has become more complex since Annie drunkenly expressed her feelings by kissing Ty in season 1. Although Ty initially didn't feel the same way and even dated Annie's enemy CeCe, his own feelings started to develop in season 2. Now, in season 3, Annie has a new boyfriend named Jackson, and Ty finds himself on the other side of a secret crush. Rowland can personally relate to this situation and enjoyed portraying it on screen."

"I love how Ty is finally experiencing some karma from season 1," he stated to Us. "In season 2, he does face a bit of it towards the end after his breakup with CeCe, but in this season, he is completely in the same position Annie was in season 1. I believe it's important for him to recognize the impact he had on Annie during that time. ... I now understand how I caused her pain. This realization will only strengthen our future connection."

Although Ty may be longing for someone in season 3, little does he know that Annie is secretly involved with Jackson, hiding it from her parents. While Ty initially tries to be a supportive friend by helping her steal moments with her boyfriend, he eventually draws a line - and Annie comes to the realization that her relationship is not worth hurting the people she cares about, including Ty.

"Annie is going through a difficult time and is in need of a friend. However, Ty feels a strong attraction towards her, and subconsciously, Annie is also drawn to Ty. There's an undeniable electric connection between them, almost like magnets," he expressed. "Anneliese and I carefully planned and discussed the desired dynamic, and that's exactly what we aim to achieve."

The tension escalates, leading to a dramatic breakup in the season finale. During this intense moment, Annie seeks solace in Ty's arms. This heartfelt scene is sure to be cherished by fans of "TyAnnie," and Rowland acknowledges Judge and the writers for portraying it with such raw emotion.

He praised the breakup scene for its exceptional writing and Anneliese's incredible performance. He expressed his gratitude for their great friendship, stating that he didn't even need to act. Although Ty and Annie don't become a couple by the end of season 3, there is a suggestive moment where they share a private handhold. Rowland revealed that this intimate scene was improvised during filming and not originally scripted.

During the rehearsal, we had planned to briefly touch hands in the scene. However, I decided to recreate the iconic Mr. Darcy moment from Pride and Prejudice, where he extends his hand. Much to everyone's surprise, our showrunner Sheryl Anderson suggested a different approach - to hold her hand and place it behind me. This unexpected change made the day on set truly remarkable, and it became a cherished memory for all of us.

The future of the characters and the town of Serenity is uncertain as the show has not yet been renewed for a fourth season. However, Rowland is optimistic about Ty's future and is open to the series staying true to the narratives of Sherryl Woods' books. These books follow Ty and Annie's relationship as they enter adulthood. Rowland expressed his enthusiasm for the possibility of a time jump in the show, allowing him to portray a blossoming adult and explore more grounded and realistic storylines. This would also be the first time for him to play a character his own age, which he finds exciting.

Season 3 of Sweet Magnolias is now streaming on Netflix.
