Survivor 46: Charlie Davis Considers Betraying Partner Maria Shrime Gonzalez - Exclusive Preview

Survivor 46's strategic duo, Charlie Davis and Maria Shrime Gonzalez, have dominated the competition ever since forming their alliance on Siga beach. Get an exclusive first look into the intense dynamics as Charlie contemplates a game-changing betrayal.

If Charlie Davis hopes to win the title of Sole Survivor in the season 46 finale, he will need to betray his closest ally, Maria Shrime Gonzalez.

In an exclusive first look from We, 26-year-old Charlie reveals, "I have been working hard to convince Ben Katzman, Kenzie Petty, and Liz Wilcox that we should target Maria and Q Burdette."

Charlie and Ben, both 31, join Kenzie, 29, by the water well to strategize their next move for reaching the final five. Ben admits to Kenzie and Charlie about his mistake at the previous tribal council, where he mistakenly voted for Kenzie instead of Venus Vafa. He believes this could work to their advantage in the upcoming vote.

"I have to admit, there is one silver lining to my blunder last night," Ben confesses. "I think Maria and Q might see it as a bit of a division."

Charlie is faced with a tough decision. Both groups want to work with him, which is tempting. However, he feels fortunate because Maria and Q trust him completely. In a confessional, he explains, "I could stick with Maria and Q, but part of me wants to just focus on my original plan with Maria. It's a dilemma for my game, unlike any other I've encountered so far."

Charlie and Maria, both 48 years old, have been inseparable since they joined forces back on the Siga tribe at the start of the game. Just like Malcolm Freeberg and Denise Stapley in Survivor Philippines, they formed a strong alliance and played strategically until it was time to make a decisive move by voting out Jem Hussain-Adams. As the game progressed to the merge, the dynamic duo continued to dominate, making it all the way to the final six.

Charlie reflects on their journey, saying, “I’ve had to vote out players I liked, but none have been as difficult as Maria, my closest ally throughout the entire game and my best friend here.” Despite the emotional challenge, Charlie knows that now is the time to focus all his energy on reaching the end goal and making the tough decisions required to secure his spot in the game.

In the latest episode, Charlie, the biggest Taylor Swift fan of the season, teased that he was about to step into his Reputation era. He acknowledged Maria for blindsiding Tiffany Nicole Ervin, making Maria a bigger target in the game. Although Charlie considered making a move against Maria, he decided not to because she had immunity.
