Survivor 45's Austin Li Coon and Dee Valladares forge a powerful alliance, strengthening their bond as the game progresses Discover the fascinating dynamics between these two players, as they strategize and navigate their way through the challenges of Survivor

Austin Li Coon and Dee Valladares have been building a strong connection since the beginning of Survivor 45, and their bond continues to grow. In an exclusive first look at the December 6 episode of the CBS reality series, the power duo discussed the possibility of developing romantic feelings while competing on the show.

Austin, 26, excitedly tells Dee, also 26, about his favorite moment on Survivor - the All-Stars season. He reminisces about the alliance between Boston Rob and Amber and how their relationship blossomed into love, resulting in Amber winning the million-dollar prize, as well as finding her husband. The couple got engaged during the finale and got married in 2005.

Austin expressed that the most memorable moment for Survivor's most well-known romance was when he admitted to secretly wishing for a love story like Rob and Amber's. "You know what, maybe one day, I'll find my Amber on the island," he joked in the clip, prompting laughter from Dee.

Dee, for her part, tells Austin that she didn’t have any plans to fall in love on the island.

"Do you want to hear something funny?" she asks. "Before I came out here, I specifically said, 'No showmances.' That was a major red flag for me."

Although Dee is determined to focus solely on the game, she confesses that her friends back home were actually hoping she would "meet her future husband out there." Despite this, Dee's main focus throughout the game has always been winning the prize for her family.

"I initially declared, 'No showmances!' when I entered this game," Dee quips in a confessional. "It was a big rule for me, but who says I can't have a bit of fun?"

Before long, Kendra McQuarrie, a fellow member of Austin and Dee's tribe, noticed the chemistry between them and viewed it as a potential challenge.

"I'm feeling a little anxious about the Austin and Dee situation," Kendra admitted to Bruce Perrault and Julie Alley in a November episode. "I believe they have hidden feelings for each other, and I think it's great. I hope they eventually tie the knot."
